My husband and I were on a road trip and this was our first night across the border. I guess my first impression would be a bit rough." In this case

I wouldn't give this even one star. I booked the room through Expedia and then notified the motel I have a registered service dog. Because they have a no pets" policy

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My first experience in this “fine establishment” came when I walked in the front door. The place smelled of mould and the man working looked like he just woke up. Keep in mind this was 3 in the afternoon. Once I entered my room and noticed the very outdated decour, dirty floors and baseboard heater that was covered in soot, I decided to rip the sheets off the bed to do a search for critters. I found no bugs but did come across a massive blood stain on the mattress. With no other options in the St Stephen area that night I decided to get overly drunk in hopes I would not think about it. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough booze in the area to drown this disaster. I slept on a pleather office chair until dawn, took a shower, dried myself off with my clothes from the night before because the towels were filthy! I then dropped my key off at the front desk and got the eff out!

There should be an option for -ve rating. This place is a joke. We had to find a room in St. Stephen and there was none available except on this place within 50-100 miles range. It was 2 rating and we read the horrible reviews and didn’t have a choice. Decided to stay just for one night on the way back from Nova Scotia. First room they gave had a horrible smell and AC is not working. Bugs and hair all over the room including on the bed. The front desk person was not happy to our complaints on AC is not working. He moved us to the next room. It was also having almost all the same features except the fact AC was working. We changed to pajamas, and kept all the bags everything in the car, put bug spray all over. Didn’t take a shower, bathroom was horrible. Next day changed and put all clothes in a garbage back took back home did wash it with a sanitize mode. Camping would have been better, if we could have carried our camping gears.

I have this place for stars because they provide a much needed service to this community. Affordable housing is very scantily available in town and this place rents rooms by the month. The rooms have no tv but do have wifi and air conditioning. They rooms were clean and have comfortable beds. The owner (Linda) is a good person and very helpful.

Well I would have to say that this is the worst room I had stayed. There was pubic hair on the sheets, hair still in one of the towels, water coming up from the bathroom floor, no hot water or lack there of. no wifi, no iron, no hair dryer, it was so noisy with air conditioning on that I couldn’t even think. This a definite HELL NO to ever stay here again. Would be better to sleep in your car.

NEVER EVER STAY THERE! Rooms are very dusty and dirty of the size of closet. The owner – front desk clerk is unbelievable rude. After we stayed there for one night, I called to inquire why my credit card was charged 3 times instead of once; the same clerk (Chinese lady) screamed at me and hung up the receiver. Dear travellers, if you are looking for a SEAMLESS AND PLEASANT STAY, AVOID this place!

The manager/owner goes out of her way to make sure her guests have everything they need. We had all we needed for a place to sleep one night along our long trip. There is some renovation needed to what appears to be an old place and the shower ran out if hot water after a couple minutes. I hope they work on those renovations before any big hotel chain comes to the area. I saw a sign about one ciming downtown. Easy ride to Tim Hortins fir breakfast and just 2 minutes from the Chocolate Museum and border crossing.

Very old hotel that needs renovation. The AC wasn't working, we had no hot water, the bathroom wasn't clean since we found garbage on the floor, the sign advertised that kids stay for free but we were charge extra anyway. Even after asking about it at the reception. The hi speed internet" was slower than you can imagine. I booked a family room for more privacy and the door wasn't closing properly."

Lady was rude and came right into our room turned on the outdated old tv loud and had to tell her to leave twice. Then had to have them come fix the tv wires later as tv lost its sound. Very odd behavior .3 earwigs and 2 spiders we had to kill .No coffee machine or any sort of breakfast offered. Towels were very small. For $91 very overpriced for such an outdated room and very old uncomfortable chairs to sit on. Will never stay here again .
