Terra Nova Canines

We love Terra Nova Canines. Blue has been twice and she has been very well looked after with updates and photos regularly. Tara is great, very knowledgeable and caring. A wonderful place to bring your dog with lots of outdoor space and comfortable indoor space.

We just had our second boarding and our furbaby once again came home happy! It took us a long time to find the right care for him, and we are glad to have found Terra Nova Canines! It is a bit far for us as we live near Downtown but it's definitely worth the drive. Love the daily updates and the photos put us at ease. Thank you again!PS You know your dog had a great time when he always runs back to Tara to give her a big thank you" kiss/hug before jumping back up to our car. These little gestures speak volume."

Tara has created a very calm and comfortable space to teach. I had my 5 month old (wild) Pomeranian enrolled in her class and wasn’t sure what to expect. Her patience and love for dogs shine through. Her instructions were easy to follow and I had success with my pup. She had just the right class sizes and went around to everyone to make sure the pups “got it” I’m very happy to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for some training

Tara makes our dogs stay with her seamless. She stays in contact, providing daily updates and photos. Our dog Coast, is so excited to spend time at Terra Nova Canines that he barely stops to say goodbye. Knowing Tara is taking the best care of our pup gives us peace of mind while we are out of town. Cannot recommend her services enough.

We left our two year old Golden Retriever with Tara for a week over Spring Break and it was the first time he has been left anywhere. Tara is very organized, so the booking process and drop off/pick up is very easy. She sent us daily updates and photos of Leo's stay and it was so nice to be able to enjoy our holiday knowing that Leo was being so well looked after when we were gone. Thank you for taking such good care of Leo, he is looking forward to his second stay in July!

We've entrusted our pup Gaston to Tara on three separate boarding occasions and each stay was wonderful. Tara's home is definitely Gaston's second home now. He gets excited as soon as we pull in to her driveway and has a very positive association to her place. His last stay at Tara's lasted three weeks and we had a comfortable vacation knowing that he was in great hands.

I left my sweet dog Lucy with Tara for a long weekend. It was difficult to leave her but she had a wonderful time playing with a couple of other dogs and having outside time with Tara. I was sent daily pictures and videos to let me see how Lucy was doing. These gave me a lot of comfort that Lucy was having as much fun on her holiday as I was having on mine. I highly recommend Terranova as a wonderful place to board your dog when that is needed.

We just completed puppy preschool with Lila, our almost 5 month old Australian Shepherd. We were very impressed with the program and how Terra handled the class. The foundation skills we learned gave our puppy a great start. Terra was a great teacher and found ways to help Lila, who was very easily overstimulated, be successful in class. She also gained the confidence to play with the other puppies rather than being scared and nervous like she was in the first class. Bonus was that Lila absolutely loved Terra and her calm manner was so wonderful with the puppies. We have already signed up for more training sessions.

We first met Tara when we brought our Welsh Springer Spaniel puppy to her canine puppy class and she was so wonderful with our Juno! She taught us how to best relate to our rambunctious puppy and Juno absolutely adored Tara from day one. The small class sizes were also very helpful. Tara is super knowledgeable and positive and a natural teacher. We recently also used her in-home boarding services and we couldn’t have been happier with how well Juno did! We were away for 11 nights and Juno was happy, healthy and well-loved. I am a worrier by nature and even I was able to relax while away, knowing how well-cared for Juno was, even though I missed her a lot :) . We received daily emails and photos and when we picked Juno up at the end of our vacation she was super clean, brushed, happy and calm. I cannot recommend Tara enough!
