Kinder Care Medical Clinic

I was referred to this clinic through the Stollery and it has been an amazing experience with Dr. Fowler. They are a busy clinic, the receptionists always do reminder calls, they relay messages to my Dr. quickly regardless if she is in office or not and she is always quick to get back to me, even on her own time.The clinic itself is not “dirty” The rooms are large and spacious and you can actually breathe. The receptionists are not rude, the one lady is quick to the point so she can get things done, I quite like her.The clinic is yes, located in a bad area. That doesn’t represent the clinic itself. I’ve never been bothered by anybody and if you aren’t going to have a meltdown from seeing maybe 1 person less fortunate than yourself walking on a sidewalk you’ll be just fine.

Dr. Goad is an incredible physician. I have literally never left a review for anything but seeing some of them here I feel compelled to share our families experience with her. From literally day 1 (as Dr Goad was the pediatrician who saw us at the sturgeon hospital the day our son was born) we have felt the care and professionalism that is obviously a hallmark of who this women is as a human being. My son is 3 years old now and we have gone through many health related concerns from sleep, breastfeeding struggles, enlarged tonsils/infections and most recently a bizarre illness that could have been extremely serious, and not once were we dismissed or not taken seriously. Dr Goad even contacted us after hours to clarify information and make recommendations to ensure our son was well cared for. She is incredibly thorough and always listens to our concerns (sometimes at great length) without making us feel like we are nuts. She is also a huge advocate for our son and has left no stone unturned in his health care journey. Our brand new baby girl is now a patient of hers and I scream her praises from the rooftops to anyone and everyone I can. She is personable and amazing with my kids. We feel so fortunate to have someone like her on our team. Even the office/nurse staff have been incredible at taking our calls and answering our questions and have followed up with us consistently. It’s refreshing to have a very proactive doctor for your kids. Highly highly recommend Dr Goad and her team!I should also mention that anytime another paediatric specialist has spoken of Dr Goad to us, even when our son was hospitalized for a week at stollery, it is with significant praise and respect for her abilities as a clinician. To be held in such high regard by your colleagues is a testament to how good she truly is at her job and definitely makes us feel safe in her care.

As seems to be a common complaint in many of these reviews; being turned away over unavoidable circumstances and the dismissiveness over concerns. Starting off, I thought Dr. Goad was was wonderful, but over this last year, I feel like she disregards our concerns about health issues my daughter has been having and our last straw was being 11 minutes late for our appointment due to very unavoidable circumstances. (My daughter has been having stomach issues and had soiled right through her diaper just as we were about to leave for her appointment... one of the issues we needed to address with Dr. Goad.) Not to mention having street parking on a busy road where you have to wait for a lull in traffic to safety remove your kid from the driver's side. Even after explaining, I was turned away and requested to reschedule (so basically come see her weeks later, when my daughter is actively having tummy issues and recovering from Bronchialitis and needed to see her pediatrician.)It's incredibly disappointing and frustrating having a children's doctor be so inflexible when it comes to unavoidable accidents that come up with children. How is 10 minutes even reasonable knowing that your patients are babies, toddlers and children and issues can pop up like this? Which clearly is an on going problem for a lot of parents as I have seen very similar complaints and issues as mine on here.This inflexibility only creates more difficulty and struggle for parents who need care for their children and to be honestly, comes across cold and uncaring.This is truly our last straw with Dr. Goad. We will be finding ourselves another pediatrician that actually cares about the well being of the children under their care. I am truly disappointed at the lack of care we received here.

I am extremely disappointed with the experience my family had at this clinic. I strongly advise against choosing this clinic for pediatric care, as our encounter was marred by a disrespectful receptionist and a complete lack of consideration for our time and convenience.First and foremost, the receptionist's behavior was shockingly unprofessional. From the moment we walked in, their dismissive attitude and unwelcoming demeanor made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued patients. Their lack of empathy and basic courtesy was disheartening and set a negative tone for our entire visit.To compound the issue, our appointment was canceled without any notice whatsoever. My wife and I had to take time off work and arrange for our child to be taken out of daycare, only to discover upon arrival that our appointment had been abruptly canceled. This lack of communication and disregard for our schedule was not only inconvenient but also disrespectful. It left us feeling undervalued and disrespected as patients.Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone. The disrespectful behavior exhibited by the receptionist and the lack of professionalism displayed by the clinic as a whole raise serious concerns about the quality of care and consideration patients can expect.Save yourself the frustration and inconvenience we experienced – look elsewhere for pediatric care. There are undoubtedly other clinics in the area that will treat you and your family with the respect and consideration you deserve.

Terrible clinic and staff. Extremely rude as well. They cancelled our appointment for no reason and didn't even inform us. We took a day off for the appointment and it was such a waste. The receptionist just took off from her seat when we asked the reason for the appointment being cancelled. Never going there again.

We have been always very happy with our Paediatrician Dr. Sarah Foster. It is worth for us to drive far to see her as she is very professional and she really cares about all important things. You can ask any questions (even non medical) and she as a mom herself gives you a useful advice. No judgement just super care. We highly recommend her. The staff is also always great, we have absolutely no issues there on the contrary. They treat patients nicely. Total 10/10

We have seen Dr Goad since my son was born. She is wonderful. Very kind and listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed. I also find the clinic staff very kind. I’ve never felt dismissed. I was only going to see her until my son was 1 but I like her so much it’s worth the drive to keep going.

After spending 10hrs at the emergency with my son, I was told to follow up with Dr.Goad. She was very dismissive of my son's symptoms and just didn't seem to care. My husband and I have lost trust in Dr.Goad's ability to care for our son. We have decided that our son's health and symptoms are too important to be dismissed. We will seek care elsewhere.

We first met Dr. Goad in St. Albert Sturgeon Hospital after the birth of my daughter. After another clinic failed me in just patient care and kindness, we decided to look to see if Dr. Goad was taking new patients. She has been so kind and knowledgeable for us. She reccomends certain tyes of care when needed and doesn't push labs/test if it's not needed. Being a first time mom, she is patient with my many questions and never rushes me. She great with my daughter and always friendly and bubbly. We are nearing the end of her first year and we will continue to see her as our daughter grows. Regardless of having a family doctor.

Where to start, this place is disgusting.I’ll start with the homeless people in the parking lot harassing everyone who’s parking, this office is in a rundown high crime area, don’t come alone.They told us to take off our shoes, the office building is nearly vacant, hopefully no one steals them.I regret taking our shoes off, the floors are filthy and disgusting, covered in food crumbs, hair and wrappers from bandages.A paediatrician office with no kids pictures, no toys and the rooms all have big windows that face the street, zero privacy.Rude staff. Very short with me and the kids. No smiling. Raised voices barking commanding, kids are asking why the nurses are covered in piercings and tattoos, I suppose they are people that live in the area.I understand this office is here because I imagine the lease is virtually free but please, don’t ever come here, especially with kids, this place probably made us sick it’s so dirty.
