The hardest moments in life are the loss of a loved one.We felt alone in the sea of the unknown with the stress of what to do.We were very fortunate to have Mandie help us through this hard time.Mandie gave my step father a level of respect beyond our expectations...taking our information and stories and combining them into a beautiful memorial. Recently, my Aunt passed away. She had prearranged funeral plans with Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel. Holly looked after us every step of they way, adjusting to changes from the original plan and connecting me with the perfect Minister after listening to my Aunt's story and my own wishes. Holly even wore pink for the service, something I'd asked attendees to do to honour my Aunt's love of all things pink. I was treated with kindness, compassion, and care throughout the whole process. The funeral was everything I'd hoped it would be for my Aunt, a true celebration of her life. In the days following the funeral, Kelly looked after all the government paperwork, cancelling things like her passport, healthcard etc. It took all the work and stress involved away from me. I highly recommend Hetherington & Deans for all your funeral needs.

My mom passed away just before a weekend in January. Holly and her team were ready to help right away and worked with me for timing, since I live 2 hours away. Diana was a huge help the days leading up to the funeral and was ready and able to help with anything, including untangling my mom's necklace. The funeral was great, the chapel beautiful. Our families experience was beyond any expectations we had.Our director Diana was detail oriented and so professional.Her compassion was felt and at times she made you feel she herself was experiencing our loss and sorrow. We were not sure if we wanted to use Hetherington @Deans for my husband’s funeral arrangements but after meeting with Holly it was clear that we would be well looked after. Holly is very professional, but still personable in all dealings. Choices presented to us were most appropriate and presented in a clear manner. All questions were answered clearly. We have buried my grandparents Nellie and Earl Dennis through Heatherington and Deans and now my mom Beryl Rivers. Without the care and compassion we received by Holly and the staff I don’t know how we would have gotten through the celebration of my mother’s life. Because her parents burials were arranged through Heatherington and Deans, mom prearranged her final wishes with them as well. I’m so grateful she did and Holly took control to put everything in order and made it easier on us, her daughters, to honour and celebrate our mom’s life. I am going to plan and prearrange my own final wishes with Heatherington and Deans so that my children will be able to grieve their loss as I did, without worry and knowing they’ll be in the hands of compassionate and caring people. My mother was beautiful and I am so grateful for the care our family received in such a painful time. All the staff were wonderful and very sensitive to our needs. This our second funeral with Hetherington and Dean's, for both services we had special requests. They did an outstanding job following the requests. I would highly recommend their catering service. We had catering for our last service and it was wonderful. Overall experience 10/10.

Hi my dad recently passed and we got in touch with Hetherington & Deans to help us with the funeral arrangements. Everyone was great and they were very helpful with everything. The arrangement were perfect and they even helped with the paperwork for the government etc. It was very much appreciated and I thank them for all their help and compassion it really was nice having someone help navigate the process.
