Cornell Community Centre

Wow! I am very impressed with this community Center. The library, amazing! I wished I lived in Markham, but alas I’ll have to settle for Scarborough.The only thing I dislike is that fact you have to pay for access to most of the activities in Markham. I have been told it is cheaper to get a monthly pass of around 50-60 CAD for access to everything.See pictures for more information!

Having a challenging experience at the community centre. First of all is the access. By bus of course. Only YRT lines1 and 522 reach here and in horrible frequencies. Next is the walking paths. After waiting for years for a paved access from Church street, it has not been cleared of snow making the trail extremely dangerous and difficult. The alternative is cleared but for us pedestrians, it adds unnecessary distance. Then I am inside and want a coffee. I am not going to discuss about the prices but again it is the issue of not having sitting areas close to the coffee shop. Loud and clear I am being told that by choosing the current trend of the climate panic, it is not for pedestrians or bus riders, only for those who drive their automobiles. You need to review these concerns because they are seriously against senior citizens, especially using walking help.

This community centre offers a number of programs, as well as pay to play or to use the facilities. The change rooms and washrooms are clean and the building has been well kept.The staff running the classes that we've participated in have all been kind, patient, and amazing with kids.The library is well equipped and offer a number of activities as well. There is a little cafe for food and beverages, and the green wall in offers a peaceful feel to the building.You require a ticket to enter the parking lot to park. There is a time limit for FREE parking of 3 hours. Get it validated in the library or the main desk.

Great community center with lots of new" facilities. Parking structure paid parking can still be validated within the community center which is always a plus to have covered parking."

This community centre is one of the newer ones built in Markham - modern looking and clean. Amenities include public library, indoor swimming pool, basketball court and track. The community centre has a connection link path to the Markham Stouffvile Hospital. This community centre also has separate parking garage from the Markham Stouffville Hospital.

The pool here is amazing.Gym is ok.There's a large 3 lane upper walking/running track for those interested for indoor cardio.If you're going to get the pool membership, just get the gym pass for the year as it includes the pool. Call them to confirm as this is subject to change.No sense paying more for just the pool when you can get both.Library is decent, nice place to study and community views as are nice.Study rooms can be booked for 2 hours as available and parking validated for up to 3 hours.Markham facilities are state of the art and kept clean and organized. A good place to meet with friends and get both body and mind fit.

exceptional cleanliness! love the cafe, and the facilities are quite expansive. a little disappointing that the fitness center is closed, but i understand why. also don’t forget to validate your parking. amazing atmosphere.

Took my daughter for the first time at this community centre for her swimming class. I was really surprised to see how clean it was. The staff and instructors are all super nice, my daughter loved the lessons. Parking is free if you get the ticket banister from staff.

Quiet and peaceful community centre. Its nice to have Indoor parking in a parking garage. Though you do have to punch in your parking ticket inside the community centre in order to access the free parking properly, it's a simple system and CC. Staff are available to answer any questions.

It's a nice area and the parking is also free if you get the ticket to get punch in at the customer service desk. My son's favorite swimming spot and he always go the the library for his reading after swimming.
