St. Bernadette Elementary School

We transferred from another Catholic school 3 years ago and immediately we felt right at home with this community. Both our children have flourished at the school due to the caring and hardworking staff. The PEC has created many fun events for the families building friendship and community. The leadership from the principal prepared the staff and school to quickly and seamlessly go into online learning back in March and then a successful and safe re-opening of the school in September. Every detail was thoughtfully planned out and communicated to the parents which made us feel at ease sending our children back to school. Even before Covid the school has always communicated well with the families and overall is inclusive and considerate of all families and their situations.

Our family has attended St. Bernadette’s for 8 years now and we are blessed to be part of such a caring school community. The principal’s and teachers’ passion and commitment towards the students are seen on a daily basis and has been more evident during COVID. The school swiftly implemented strong safety protocols and procedures without compromising the quality of our kids education. Most importantly, our kids come home from school happy everyday. If you are looking for a family oriented, supportive, and friendly environment for your children, send them to St. B’s, you will not regret it.

This is an exceptional school.Aside from the fundamental lessons (which are handled very well), this school instills community into the students. The environment that our child has developed in is sound, safe, sharing, caring, and otherwise unbelievable.To top it off, the managing of the covid crisis has been beyond anything I expected possible. The passion and commitment the dedicated staff have made to the welfare of all of the children is the stuff of legend.If you're shopping for a school: stop now. This is the place.

As a student and now a parent of two children that attend St. Bernadette Elementary, I highly recommend this school. A hidden educational gem in Surrey. The best elementary school in my books and in my profession, I have visited many in this city. A school rooted in faith and community and that strives to support our kids’ learning with best practices in education. In these unprecedented times during the pandemic, they were quick to adapt their programs and provide efficient and effective teaching to their students. A tight knit community, with a very engaged Principal that provides the utmost care to his staff and to the families at St. Bernadette.

Our children love attending the school and enjoy the company of their classmates. The staff, community and the support that if provided to us if beyond our expectations. The safety and care that is given to each child is immeasurable.The thorough and safe measures in the school in these COVID times are beyond the provincial requirements. Definitely a study in making the school safe for the children, as well as peace of mind for the parents.We have been recommended to this school and now we recommend it to our friends and family. The growth of the school is definitely something that the kids will benefit from.

Our son transferred into St Bernadette Elementary in the 6th grade and he couldn't be happier. The leadership is outstanding, the staff team is incredibly dedicated and the school community is welcoming. Greatly appreciated and highly recommended.

My oldest daughter has been going here for 5 years now. She loves it! There's only one class per grade so there's some continuity with her classmates which I love. Plus the teachers and principal are great, they really care about the students and go the extra mile for their wellbeing.

St. Bernadette provides the perfect blend of academics, spirituality, and culture appreciation in a safe and nurturing environment. The entire staff is dedicated to guiding each child in discovering and maximizing their strengths. The school also has a strong partnership with the church, working together towards meaningful community engagement. It is a privilege to be part of such an amazing school and church community.

St. Bernadette is an exceptional school with dedicated principal and teachers who always put students' needs above their own. The kids are extremely happy to be in the school and we are grateful to be part of the school community. We believe this school has the best health and safety plans in place and we are very relieved that our children attend this school. I would highly recommend St. Bernadette to anyone and everyone.

I can't say enough about how warm, caring and fantastic all the staff are at St. Bernadette's! Communication to parents and students is amazing, my daughter loves going to school here. The community they have created is beautiful , supportive and nurturing.
