Dog Lounge

I doubt I'll come back here. I had come here once before and this was my second time. I immediately got a bad feeling when my dog was super anxious to come in, which has never happened with any other groomers. They dont disclose that they keep the dogs in cages for who knows how long, this was probably the source of anxiety. They told me 1.5-2 hours, and it ended up taking over 3. I also told them to cut her fur super short as it's hot in the summer, but they still kept her fur quite long. I asked them if it was possible to cut it shorter, and they told me the groomer had just left. I wasn't going to wait longer so I just accepted it. At the end of this they verbally asked me if I wanted to tip. Not only does that create an awkward situation, I was surprised they had the audacity after all of that. The girls working retail were nice enough, but it's clear things are very unorganized here. I've had much better experiences at other groomers.

I have been bringing my toy poodle to the dog lounge for over a year. Would highly recommend. They are gentle and genuinely care about your dog.

This place is definitely not here to take care of the animals just here to take what’s easiest for them. My dog is a little bit anxious and continuous negative feedback and literally telling me not to come back because my dog has a difficult time being left alone. So if your dog is not perfect don’t bother.

Dog Lounge and its owner, Laura, are the absolute best. We picked this business after noticing in the neighborhood how kind and capable their staff was with the dogs out on walks. We now use Dog Lounge for daycare and boarding and I do not know how we would make our lives work without them. The staff is excellent and our normally anxious dog, Peach, is always eager to run in and see her two- and four-legged friends. I am also very confident when boarding Peach that she will be happy and well taken care of because Laura takes the dogs in with her family rather than leaving them in kennels.Laura also went miles beyond anything we could have asked for or expected when Peach became ill during a recent boarding and needed to be brought to the hospital and then nursed back to health. There are very few businesses that would have given a sick dog the love and care that ours received at Dog Lounge. I could not recommend them highly enough.

I cant stop smiling every time I look at my 3 year old shihtzu! He looks so cuteeee! So happy with the service we got from Dog Lounge! Love everyone working there! No way I am going anywhere else now!

Very very impressed with owner Laura, and groomer Adeline's cut on my Bedlington terrier. My dog is a very rare breed, and it's been impossible to find someone in Toronto that knows how to do a proper cut. Adeline and Laura did their research and put lots of care into the groom. Can't recommend enough!

Lots of missed spots on my dog when doing his hair cut he is a small breed with short hair not much to cut - ultimately disappointed because they had him for 3 hours and did not once disclose they keep the dogs in cages. My dog came home absolutely terrified. I noticed their day care dogs were enclosed all together confined in a small space at the front of the retail store which absolutely smells by the way. Like the stench is nothing like I have ever smelt and I am shocked no one is writing about this?Prices are going up and I am going to be conscious where I put my money - my dog is my family and I prefer him not in a cage for hours on end.Regardless if this is an industry practice at least disclose this - there are other competitive groomers in the city who don’t do this cough *konnichipaw* I am not impressed and will not be coming back.
