Feedback on Recent Visit to the LifeSmiles DentalBe careful all peple living in Winnipeg!I am writing to provide feedback on my recent visit this clinic. Overall, I had a satisfactory experience with the dental procedure itself and the dentist. However, there were some concerns regarding the handling of my insurance coverage and the billing process, which left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.Approximately two weeks ago, I visited your clinic and completed the application form while providing my insurance information. At that time, I was informed that my insurance would cover the cost of a teeth cleaning. I arrived for my appointment on June 6th at 12 p.m. and presented my ID, introducing myself and inquiring about the need to provide my insurance information again. The receptionist assured me that all the necessary information was already on file and that it wouldn't be required.During the appointment, the cleaning procedure went smoothly, and I was pleased with the dentist's professionalism. However, upon completion of the procedure, I was presented with a bill of $230, which I was expected to pay as my insurance did not cover the cost. It is my responsibility to understand the details of my insurance plan, and I acknowledge that I should have been aware of its limitations. However, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the receptionist, mentioning that it would have been helpful if they had informed me in advance or sought clarification from my insurance provider regarding my coverage before proceeding with the cleaning. This information was available since I had filled out the application form two weeks prior.To my dismay, both the receptionist and the manager insisted that I was at fault and pressed me to make the payment. This left me perplexed and somewhat deceived, as I had previously been advised by another dentist that cleanings were covered by my insurance every six months. This raised questions as to why I had chosen to visit your clinic in the first place.When I raised the issue of my husband's recent cleaning at your clinic, for which insurance covered the cost, the receptionist initially maintained that the coverage was based on a year interval. However, upon my explanation that my husband's last cleaning was in December, she changed her stance and claimed that both of us were entitled to cleanings every six months. This inconsistency indicated that my cleaning was not covered because it had been less than six months since my previous cleaning, but would have been covered had I delayed my visit.To be honest, this whole situation has left me feeling shocked. I have never before encountered such dishonesty and manipulation from dental staff. It made me question the integrity of your clinic and the treatment I received. Moreover, the incident made me feel guilty, as if I had intentionally deceived your clinic or failed to provide complete information, which is not the case.As a result, I regret to inform you that I cannot pay the bill in question. I believe I provided all necessary information about myself and my insurance, and it is disheartening that I now find myself in this position.I hope this feedback helps you address the issues I have raised and prevent similar situations from occurring in.future. Dr. K is a fabulous dentist. After having a front tooth that was improperly filled by another dentist years ago, she fixed it and gave me my smile back. She went the extra mile. The staff are all great. Dr. Lawson is also a phenomenal TMJ specialist who has helped me immensely. Lifesmiles Grant Park is my trusted place for dental work.

Are you anxious about going to the dentist? Need a weighted blanket? They have you covered! The x-ray smock works well in this situation. It allowed me to keep calm. I'm not afraid of the dental work, it's my own personal anxiety. They were very gentle in speech, understanding, and didn't make me feel bad about myself. Tell them as soon as you get there.Also, the work places are mostly private. No closed doors, but no one beside you getting work done. Very nice.I highly recommend Dr. S. Polish. I've been seeing this dentist for almost 20 years, and his work is immaculate. He really knows his stuff.So book your anxious self an appointment today. They will work with you - for you - and you deserve to have a good set of teeth.

My experience here was excellent. I've had extractions done before and this was by far the most comfortable and painless. The dentist was excellent informative kind and gentle. I would highly recommend this place.

I always have a great experience when I come here. The office staff is friendly and my dentist and hygienist are super kind and patient. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. I appreciate the fact that they are open later than most dentist cabinets and also on weekends, which is very helpful when you can't take time off work to go see a dentist.

Very friendly staff. Dr. Poliah is an excellent dentist. He explained my problem and how to resolve it. I was able to get an appointment the next day due to the discomfort I was having with my gums.

I was looking for a new Dentist and a friend referred me to LifeSmiles. My experience was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and professional. They took time to listen to my concerns and address my painful tooth immediately. I had 2 x-rays and a wisdom tooth extracted. The whole appointment only took about an hour and I did not feel a thing. I am so glad I decided to come here, and will definitely be returning.

I normally dread visiting the dentist but have been very happy with the service here. The dentists (particularly Dr. Bajaj!), receptionists, & hygienists are friendly, gentle, and quick. Additionally, the clinic's late opening hours and texted appointment reminders make coordinating dental appointments around a full-time job much easier. I highly recommend this clinic.

I was extremely satisfied with my dental care here. Staff were all extremely friendly, and were accommodating and sensitive to patient needs. I would recommend Lifesmiles if you have anxiety around dental work, as they are very good at ensuring you are comfortable, and explaining everything they are doing.

Dr Helewa is an amazing Dentist. He is very professional and skilled. He is simply the best! Staff are extremely friendly and they are very efficient, Highly recommend.
