Alyx is an amazing trainer to work with and know personally. He is honest with his clients and cares for your dogs as if they are his own. Alyx helps shelter dogs in need of training to give them a better opportunity at getting adopted. I highly recommend Alyx as a trainer as well as a board and train. He shows his true nature on his Instagram so you know who you are working with before meeting in person!

Incredible results! My 80 lb lab was pulling me off my feet and had me stressed at just the thought of walking her. By our third lesson, I was walking her inside Home Depot and Ren’s Pets. Mind blowing!

Alyx is a fantastic trainer and definitely has a way with dogs! Ella did his dog school program and I’m so pleased with her results. His programs are catered to your dogs specific needs/issues. In my case, Ella was afraid of the car, which limited the places I could take her. She also lacked impulse control and pulled on the leash around other dogs or people. Needless to say, she would drag me around in a pet store! He’s resolved these issues and more! Alyx is generous with his time and knowledge, and the sessions were fun for both me and my dog. I can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend him to others!

I first saw Alyx, the trainer at McMillian Mastiffs, at a pet expo. He had a pack of huge dogs, all off leash indoors, surrounded by other dogs, and they didn't even flinch. I was in awe of him and his dogs.I operate an animal rescue in Mississauga and often the dogs we save have been failed by humans. We have one particular big boy named Persey, a handsome and sweet mastiff mix male with some serious fear aggression issues. I called Alyx.Yesterday I went to visit Persey, he is currently finishing up a 4 week board and train program at McMillian Mastiffs. I saw our dog who prior could barely be walked, now walk past EVERTHING. Our dog was no longer lunging at dogs / people / wheels. I saw our dog play with another dog for the first time. I often held back tears to see this dog that we saved actually get to be a dog.Fate had me see Alyx that day and I am forever grateful for he has given Persey a real shot at finding a forever family now. I've had many dogs over the years and worked with a number of trainers and here's why Alyx is straight up the best out of all of them... anyone can teach a dog to sit, lie down etc. What Alyx does is go beyond simple commands to training a dog in real life situations that you'll encounter every single day. I'm absolutely blown away by the change in my dog in just a week. I would recommend Alyx to anyone.

Great people and great boarding and training program. I had my 1 year bully with them for 3 weeks and when she got back I could see huge improvements. Great program for my dog and myself, lots of knowledge to spread and even after the boarding and training was over I still get follow ups and tips from Alyx. Highly recommended if you want to see better changes with your doggo, definitely will be seeing them again.

I recently purchased a registered Corso puppy from McMillan Mastiffs and I am so happy with our decision. Not only is Alyx an amazing advocate for the breed, but his hands on approach with the puppies, while they were in his care, and now in their forever homes has been impeccable! Alyx at McMillan Mastiffs helped train our almost 2 year old GSD. We put him in a 1 week board and train and wow what a difference when we got our pup back. We’re now able to walk him off leash and walk past distractions with ease. He is overall just a more calm dog now. It was so important for us to know he was in good hands while away for the week and Alyx kept us updated each and everyday.
