Very disappointed in my experience I had today. The woman with the pink hair insisted I do a clear polish after I specifically asked for pink so that she wouldn’t have to wait a few extra minutes for the polish to dry as I was the last one in the salon. Upon payment, she pressured me to change my method of payment from visa to debit to avoid fees to the salon even though they offer Apple Pay. Just generally rude and unprofessional, not a relaxing experience with little customer service.

I have been going to salon for a short time but it seems that each time the service gets worse. The girl has never been on time for my appointment. Today she was late again and put on the dirtiest smock I have ever seen. One of her jars of solution had black mould like stains on the outside of it. I mentioned it to her and she just shrugged and ignored me.When she was done with it she just put the cap back on and put it back in the drawer. One of my nails was polished crooked and so I asked if she could fix it and she made a very thick adjustment so now it looks worse. The cost was $47.25 for a gel polish so I gave her a 50.00 bill and she gave me 5.00 back. I mentioned that she only owed me 2.75 but she said it was just taxes and walked away. I will not be going back to this salon. Please wash your smocks!!

Now I can understand why some if people have written such bad reviews, I have been there couple times because it was close to where I live but will never go back, basically they don’t care about their customers needs. When I go for peri I just wanna relax but they were trying to do my mani and pedi at the same time because they didn’t have time. Well, if I’m paying for both I should be considered as a customer for both, and when I said what I want she simply canceled on me. I will not go back

First visit for me was an acrylic fill. Kim was very tentative to my concerns and gave me exactly what I asked for; natural looking nails that didn't look like thick clubs. By far the best service I have experienced in the lower Lonsdale area.

Sorry, I really thought with all the reviews, I’d have a good pedicure but though EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, the work was not up to the dosh. Lumpy/wrinkled polish, cuticles not pushed back enough, areas of nails without polish, and black something or another stuck in polish of big toe. I’m wondering if the attendee has vision issues - all these things should not have occurred.It was also a long process. Near the end, there was no time left to comment and ask for correction. I’ve had much better done elsewhere on the north shore.

I have been coming to about nails since 2005. I have been getting my acrylics filled by Kim consistently for the past 5 years. never with any issue. I love the work she does. if you'd like consistent quick service I highly recommend About Nails and all their staff.

UPDATE - I wrote the following review for About Nails 2 years ago and it's all still true. Great service and great work.PREVIOUS REVIEW: I have been going to Kim, Lily and Lynn for years for mani/pedi...as does my family when in town. I get compliments all the time about my nails. Book ahead as tough to get an appointment leading up to weekend/holidays as they are so popular. If I break a nail they are great about squeezing me in. They stand behind their work.

I'm really not one to write reviews but I felt compelled to after this. Got a full gel set and they are all different lengths for some reason, there are bubbles in the gel, and half of the nails are crooked. The whole process felt super rushed from the get-go. Would have appreciated the technician taking her time a bit because the end result really reflected this. Sorry but I will definitely not be returning.
