My province states that expired ID is still valid during Covid and to wait until your local area makes an announcement about renewing expired ID if you’re unable to renew online (which I am). Upon booking with Westjet, at no point during the booking process or any of the notices sent, do they mention that they are not accepting expired ID during Covid. During regular times, I get it, but when my province says it’s still valid but Westjet makes their own rules without communicating, it’s very confusing. More than a quarter of my flight had expired ID when we went to board and thankfully for them all except 2 of us could renew online and they showed their phones to the attendants and could still board the plane. I was denied boarding and then had to beg to be rebooked for the next day so I could go to a Service Ontario and renew my ID. They put me on a 5am flight the next day, when I arrived, I found out my flight was cancelled and I received no notification of the cancelation. I had a connecting flight in Toronto I was also going to miss and they refused to reschedule. I ended up spending a total of $89 in Ubers in 2 days, $100 in gas and $100 at Par-N-Fly as I had to drive to Toronto myself and my flight home was to my actual city which could not be moved to Toronto so I then needed to find transportation to Toronto to get my vehicle. AWFUL customer service. I will never fly Westjet again.

Great staff. But the plane is so uncomfortable. I do not know how tall people can stand it. On my flight back I choice to pick my seat ahead of time and this way you get more leg room.

The seats are so close together - both between rows and width wise - that it is painful to sit in them for several hours. Aisles are incredibly narrow. The food available to purchase on flights is awful. Only meal options on a 6 hour flight were penne pasta in a tomato sauce, and Mr. Noodle. We will try to find to find an alternative airline in the future.

Unfortunately, West Jet customer service at Toronto Pearson International Airport has been deplorable and dismissive in the attitude of their personnel working there. Furthermore, every single flight I have booked from Toronto (Pearson) to London, Ontario on the last leg of my travels, has been consistently cancelled. No offer to re-book on a different flight; instead, sent to London on a dirty Greyhound-type bus reeking of diesel oil. Lastly, my luggage has been lost on two occasions. I have learned from experience and will never fly West Jet again.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with WestJet's baggage handling services, which compelled me to share my feedback. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter directly with the airline, I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution.During my recent trip on July 27, 2022, at Vancouver Airport, an incident involving my lost bag occurred, causing significant distress. The issue arose when a WestJet staff member mistakenly placed my carry-on bag on the luggage belt without attaching a luggage tag or seeking my permission. I want to emphasize that I did not intend to check in that bag as luggage.To my dismay, upon arriving in Edmonton, I discovered that my bag was missing. I immediately reported the incident to WestJet's airport department and initiated contact with their claim department. Regrettably, despite their initial assurances, my bag remains lost, and the claim process has been unfruitful.The lost bag contained precious jewelry of immense sentimental value, which cannot be replaced. I have provided WestJet's claim department with all the necessary information, including the estimated value of the items. However, their recent response stated that the file created in July was merely a courtesy file for search purposes. This contradicts the actual events, as the staff member acknowledged their mistake and assured me that the bag would be kept in the airplane for retrieval upon landing.The prolonged duration without resolution and the significance of the lost items have deeply impacted me. I kindly request urgent intervention and a prompt resolution to this matter. If there are any additional steps, information, or documentation required from my end, please let me know, and I will provide it promptly.I sincerely hope that WestJet will take this feedback seriously, investigate the matter thoroughly, and make improvements to prevent such incidents in the future. It is my belief that addressing this issue appropriately will not only restore my faith in WestJet but also demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction.Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a swift and satisfactory resolution.

AMAZING team! Every airport I was in and out of, the WestJet team were above and beyond. Super kind, friendly, smiles like they enjoyed working for this company, great wit and chat...smooth flight and great staff have given me the bug to fly. This was my first flight and I'm beyond excited to fly WestJet again soon!

West Jet flight cancelled in Toronto but agent in London did not tell us. Flights were rescheduled by 12 hour difference. So we flew on our scheduled flight out of London at 6:30 am and then had a 12 hr stopover. This is unacceptable. Agents should make it clear flights have been changed and it should not be a 12 hour wait.

Arrived home 2 days ago and I still have no luggage. I have been on hold 2 1/2 hours now waiting to find out where my luggage is. It was supposed to be delivered today.

SUCH A SCAM!!! They are booking flights without actually intending them to leave and cancelling them without telling you. I booked twice now with them doing the same thing and they won't give your money back. My first set of flights were just cancelled no refund or anything unless you go through a process (if you notice before you get to the airport). The second flights went from getting there in one day to a 16 hour layover and I wasn't told or notified. They just want you to buy flights and have to bank the money and book with another airline. Save the gray hairs and loss of money and just book with another airline.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!! My flight got automatically rescheduled from 10:00pm to 7:00am (which wouldn't be possible with my itinerary). Since then I've tried almost everything available to fix the issue. The flight manager on the website doesn't work, none of the buttons respond (tried this on three different web browsers and my phone)... Next, their customer service number has ~5 hour wait times. I used their clunky service to schedule a call, and they never called me back! Then I tried using their customer service chat function, and after a week of messaging them every day, they still haven't responded back... Hoping someone at the company reads this and reaches out to help. Service is so bad it's unbelievable!
