River Park Off Leash Dog Park
Throughly enjoyed walking my pup with a friend here! It was a beautiful off leash area and we ended up walking them down to an on-leash area.The views are great of the River (as advertised!). I can’t wait to see this place in the summer!

Nice expansive park for dog walking. Scenic area. Glad to see there is a convenient porta potty by the parking lot. Needs more benches throughout the park for sitting down and looking at the scenery.

Hands down one of the best dog parks in Calgary. Sunning location, with lots of room for the dogs to run and play. Surrounded by nature and a great view of the Calgary cityscape. Always maintained by the users & neighbours. My dogs absolutely love it here!

Great, big park. Not fenced, though, so may not be suitable for all dogs. This park needs more bins. Like most dog parks, it is disgustingly covered in dog poo. Is the issue irresponsible dog owners that aren't paying attention and/or don't care to clean up after their dog? Yes. But perhaps more bins will help people be less lazy.

Our dog loves this park! The river is great and always has great friends for our dog to splash around with and chase balls with. The off leash fenced area is great to walk around after a nice swim to dry your pooch off before the trek home. One of our favourite dog parks in the city!

River Park Off Leash Dog Park
This is probably my favourite dog park in the city. It’s close enough to my house, we have friendly encounters with other dogs, alot of the dog owners are very attentive. There are a few routes to take and you can even go down to Sandy Beach and hang out at the river. It’s great for early morning dog walks and never feels busy since there’s so much space. The view of the city from this park is the cherry on top. Be careful on the side near the road if your dog isn’t great with the invisible barrier beside streets since it is not fenced in.
