Bruce Anchor Villa & Cabins

Stayed here before the new management ( Bruce anchor now owns it)We loved it before but totally different now and for some reason they no longer allow Pets. They are no longer pet friendly.

Our motel room was impeccably clean and very nicely decorated. Great location -- a few minutes walk from the water and downtown. Comfy bed. Though pet-friendly, they are very strict with pets and had more rules in general than I am used to staying at a motel -- a bit off-putting but also meant a nice place to stay. For the owners: I would suggest better curtains and some blinds on motel windows. Between the parking lot and the streetlamps, a thin curtain that *just* fits the windows didn't suffice in terms of privacy and sleep.

The room was very clean. I had enough towels, soaps and shampoos. It was walking distance to the town. The only negative point about my stay was that the bathroom smelled like mold.

Stayed for a few nights, within walking distance of everything. The room was nice but small, slightly outdated, don't expect to use the wifi but it's the area they are in, so not their faults. The patio area was nice, I only wish they had a fire pit. Friendly staff. Definitely would stay again if we were in tobermory.

My experience at this place was extremely disappointing. During our three-night stay on a long weekend in the summer, the water in our room was yellow with white impurities, making it impossible for us to shower or brush our teeth. We informed the staff about the issue, but after a day of back-and-forth, the plumber concluded that the water was safe to drink.I cannot stress enough how dissatisfied we were with this situation. Adding to the discomfort, the bed was also very uncomfortable. For a rate of around $300 per night, we spent approximately $900 for our three-night stay, yet we couldn't even shower in our own room and the bed ruined our backs. It's hard to understand what we were paying for. We had to inconveniently use a motel nearby and felt exhausted after dealing with all of this. Overall, this was the worst experience I have ever had.

Nice rooms ,newly renovated. We stayed at the off site ,peacock villa. Very close to all the highlights of the town. However, no room service came to pick up any garbage or replenish the toiletries during our 2 nights stay.Towels we took at the main site to get new ones as mentioned . The room seem quite dark with just one ceiling light and one side table lamp .we had a broken towel bar in the bathroom plus another bedside table would be nice.Overall , clean budget friendly accommodation for a short stay close to all the amenities and attractions.

Location is superb very near to the town area and ferry dock.Stayed in cabin and didnt have Aircon or heater so at night the weather was a bit chilly.Other than that everything is okay. Room is abit small but there is everything u need. Great service.

The cabin that we're staying in is Awesome! Every year my wife and I come to this great place and we stay for almost 2 weeks! It's like our seasonal cottage we love to come to unwind and enjoy nature at its best! They allow dogs also! Very conveniently located right by the town. The service is amazing and staff are extremely friendly and helpful for all your needs! Can't wait to come back next year! Thanks for hosting us. Cheers!

I spent two nights here with my dog and it was an excellent experience. Clean, comfortable, excellent price, dog friendly, and very quiet overnight for sleeping. I had a motel room and it was newly appointed with a very nice decor, tv worked great, fridge was handy, and the bathroom was very modern and clean. The motel seems to be very efficiently run by friendly people. I would recommend this motel to anyone visiting Tobermory and I intend to stay there again next year when I return to the Bruce Peninsula.

Overall an alright stay. Would have been 5 stars if it had air conditioning. Hiking all day and coming back to a warm room wasn't ideal. Beyond that it was very clean. The customer service was excellent with a lockbox option for late check in. It's close enough to everything we were able to walk to most places. Definitely suggest bringing a fan.
