Berdick Windows & Doors

I have been extremely impressed with Berdick and would highly recommend them. They care about their product and want to ensure their customers are happy. For those who want a longer version, here’s my experience:I used a local dealer to replace 40 windows in my house. They used Berdick as their window manufacturer and had very positive things to say about them. The order was placed, and everything was installed in a timely manner. We loved the windows but realized there was an issue with the seals a few months after install. After looking into it, we found out that the local dealer placed the order wrong with Berdick and that all 40 windows had the issue. My wife and I were given the run-around for months from the local dealer and, not surprisingly, that dealer went out of business shortly after. We were completely stuck so I reached out to Berdick directly. I dealt with Sheldon and Henry and they were excellent. Henry flew out from Manitoba to see the windows (I’m in Calgary) and reiterated that they’ll fix the issues that the local dealer had made and ensure everything with the order is perfect. They quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed up the windows. We couldn’t be more grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone else. For me, an incident like this shows the true identity of a company and how committed they are to their product. Berdick exceeded my expectations.

For a company that is based in manitoba i would expect doors made for winter.I paid a lot of money for what i thought was a premium entrance door. Guess what. Air is comming through as if i left the door open.Cannot describe how disappointed I am. Will not purchase again.

Our windows arrived exactly as ordered on the day that was promised. Delivery crew was courteous and helpful.

New home Build 2021, after moving into our home in Oct of 2021 we noticed our front door had issues, including a warp in the bottom. You can easily see the curve in the photo provided. I reached out to company to see if they could assist me as the builder had not paid the contractors and I had withheld the final payment as required.First they ignored me until I got Shawn on the phone and then he said he would look into it. He told me the issue was the humidity in the home which was not the case at all. After proving he was wrong, they refused to assist me because of they where more concerned of their relationship with the builder who doesn't pay bills. The three front windows also from the company leak lot air even though they are properly closed. I had the home inspection done today to finalize my. permit and they have included it in their report as shoddy windows and doors. I have posted photos for your viewing pleasure. I would think this company would be embarrassed to have their products shown that they are infact low quality and help out their customers who are their word of mouth.

After five years my patio handle for the screen fell off. I called nobody called me back. Now I have two more handles that have come off. I called a month ago was given a number to call left a message and guess what nobody called back. Love the windows but I can’t open them.

I am thouroughly dissapointed in the service we received from Berdick Windows. We had our main floor Windows installed in fall 2015 and loved the product. In August of 2017 I noticed a basement window frame was quite rotten. I contacted the same man then to arrange to do the basement Windows. Well it took from then until this week to get our product!! In the meantime I was so frustrated with the delays I asked the company to send someone else. They told me that they were not interested in doing my order of 4 Windows because I wanted to do the hydro loan. Ok so the installer came this week and the product was beyond ugly and nowhere close to what we wanted!! The frame is so wide that there is less then half as much glass as we had before. Also they hardly open, in fact they are so tight I physically can't open them and need my hubby to open them for me. So now in a fire there is no way anyone can get out!!! Also instead of completely replacing the rotten frame he simply covered it up with the new one and denied it was rotten! During the install I called the Berdick head office and spoke with a manager. He basically told me that it's between us and the installer and tough luck unless I have proof that they aren't what we asked for. So so sad that now we will have to replace brand new Windows with what we originally wanted and throwing away a lot of money!! Even more upsetting is that Berdick couldn't have cared less!! I strongly recommend that you avoid doing business with Berdick Windows!! I wish I knew that all they are after is your money and have 0 desire to make a customer happy. Windows are so expensive and we should have received what we asked for.

We had an issue with a window that we have had for a number of years and Berdick stood behind the warranty 100%. A company that looks after their customers is hard to find these days but Berdick is one that does.

Great company to deal with. Service department is good. I know their doors are great. I have installed many of them.

We bought the House in 2019, it was build starting 2017. Right after we moved in I noticed a Fogging up window and tried to get some answers but was refused the service after I was told that I am the second owner and the warranty will not cover it. I attempted to call and left messages with the Service person at Berdick Windows office but never got a call back. Now the Mechanism is not working. Can't close the Window unless I push it from the Outside in. Second Window is starting to fog up. A 4 year old Windows should not have such problems, especially not if they have been installed by commercial builders. We had other Homes build for us and the Window after 14 years living in that house have been flawless.

Had a new build done 4 years ago, went back the first winter for warranty on the doors as they creak and leak to the point that in winter, cannot access the front doors properly. They are warping and breaking apart and are very difficult to open, the noise it makes when opening is embarrassing to put it mildly. We are still waiting for them to come look at our house, they claim it's an installation issue and refuse to come look at it themselves. We have had several other contractors come look at the doors, and they have all said it's a manufacture issue. The windows all leak as well, so much for having an energy efficient home......Had we known what kind of shoddy work they do before hand we would never have purchased from berdick. Massive disappointment DO NOT BUY BERDICK!!!!!!!!!!Wish I could give a negative star, no plus is good enough for berdick
