Integrity Contracting

Paul is a true craftsman and all the work completed looks good. He was able to resolve problems that came up. Paul and his workers were trustworthy and stayed late if they needed to. Paul was available sooner than other contractors.That's where the compliments end.My bathroom took over 4 weeks to build - twice as long as was estimated. 4+ weeks not including demolition.Paul's communication & punctuality is lacking. If he says he'll arrive at 9am then he'll arrive at noon. Once he said he needed to come on Sunday but never arrived. I understand situations change, but be polite and keep me informed.Paul neglects to say things, especially if they're unreasonable. For example he never said, you need to make a decision right now or else I'll charge you extra for it in 3 weeks when it comes time to build it." That became a disagreement. I ended up paying a plumber directly for a change that I felt was clearly within Paul's scope of work.He pretends we previously agreed on something when infact we hadn't reached a decision yet. This happened a few times. With future contractors I will keep notes on what we discussed - it was a big point of contention.Paul's price was comparable to others
