We are so happy with the service we received. Andrew went above and beyond to make sure my family and I completed our rituals. Andrew gave us extra time and did not rush us while scattering the ashes. Moreover, the boat ride was smooth and it was a beautiful day. We cannot thank you enough for this wonderful service.

This was such a beautiful experience for myself and my family. Andrew was lovely, and brought the best energy for a day that would be considered hard for us. It was peaceful and such a great way to honour our father. Thank you Andrew for sharing the beautiful poem and for allowing us to take our time on the water.

Andrew Newman provided the best experience scattering the ashes of our beloved father in the ocean. He was kind and extremely patient with our family and I would recommend his service of scattering ashes to anyone. My family followed up on another day with his wonderful whale watching tour, we were not disappointed.

Thank you, Andrew, for your compassion and professionalism the day we chartered your vessel to scatter my late mother's ashes in Semiahmoo Bay (White Rock). Mom wanted her remains scattered in the ocean, and with your guidance, everything went as smoothly as possible; thank you for making a difficult day much easier for us. Thank you also for the certificate commemorating the occasion we received from you. I would not hesitate to recommend your company to friends or family in need of this service.

I had the most wonderful and meaningful experience with a scattering ashes memorial with Andy and White Rock Sea Tours.Captain Andy is professional, patient and compassionate, he took the time to explain how to properly lay the ashes in the water, so as not to have the remains all over the boat and ourselves, he expressed his extreme care for the environment, stressing that we only throw organic matter in with the ashes (no plastics, trash, etc) He is incredibly aware of our fragile ocean eco system as he also is the main Whale Watching Tour provider in the lower mainland. He has the utmost respect for our ocean and it is reflected in his caring actions and words.Andy let us have the time to sit and reflect on our memories, as well as he read a beautiful poem for us. It was a day that I will forever cherish, and hold dearly in my heart. Thank you Captain Andy.

My family and I are absolutely disgusted by the ash scattering service provided by Andrew Newman of White Rock Sea Tours. Andrew made a difficult day for my family even more difficult and unsettling. Andrew failed to provide the professional, compassionate, patient, and respectful service towards my family and I as promised by his website. Andrew lacks basic decency in interacting with a grieving family and the elderly. My family hired Andrew Newman of White Rock Sea Tours to scatter my late grandfather’s ashes. Andrew approached my family and I at the dock in a very rude, impatient, grumpy way. There was no hi, hello, or even a simple introduction or run down of expectations. Andrew instead was quick to bark life jacket and bag placement instructions and hurried us onto the boat. My family and I were struggling to board the boat. My 80-year-old grandmother was struggling to get onto the boat despite my family and I helping her. She complained of increased aches and pains while boarding the boat in the rushed manner enforced by Andrew.10 minutes into the boat ride, we were instructed to scatter the ashes. My family and I were not given even a few moments to ourselves to “honour my grandfather at sea” before Andrew turned the boat around to head back towards the dock. The whole “experience” lasted no more then 25 minutes. I am very confused why this impatient and ill-mannered service was valued at $550.00.When we returned to dock, my family and I expressed our concerns and dissatisfaction with the service, rather then engaging in a back and forth discussion of possible solutions or mention of reimbursement, Mr. Andrew Newman was quick to become defensive and denied being discourteous. Andrew refused to provide his full name or the contact information of his manager. Andrew claimed he was the business owner and there was nowhere we could go to voice our concerns or solve this problem. Andrew offered a quick, insincere apology out of pure panic ONLY AFTER mention of an honest Google review of our bad experience. It took Andrew 24 hours to reflect on his service and send a text: “if we were not on our game yesterday”…. here are ways I can make it up to you through these other services. Mr. Andrew Newman lacked the problem solving abilities and hospitably when it actually mattered. After this disheartening experience, my family and I will be boycotting all the services of your business and will encourage our family and friends to do the same. The service provided is not worthy of any stars for this review. My family and I are Canadian Sikhs. Due to our disheartening experience with Mr. Newman’s business practices, I deeply question his treatment towards others families of colour, as our experience did not match the reviews left by Caucasian sounding family names- interesting to note, the positive reviews for this company are only from Caucasian sounding family names.Mr. Andrew Newman of White Rock Sea Tours, please understand the sensitively in scattering the ashes of a loved one. Do not offer a service if you lack basic customer service decency, respect, and will refuse to listen and take ownership to the concerns and dissatisfaction from the service from your clients. You are doing no one a favour but yourself in securing a profit of a couple hundred dollars.

Thank you so much Andrew for the pleasurable experience. You truly helped both me and my sister through a difficult experience. You were both professional, yet comfortable throughout the trip. I would recommend you and your service without hesitation to anyone interested.
