MNP reduced my unbearable credit card debt by 80%, and got my monthly payment to $120, instead of $1,300! Rachel was very calm, warm, and easy to work with, and I never felt shame for holding a large debt. Increased debt is a serious problem that affects almost all working-class Vancouverites (especially with governments doing nothing to help, allowing credit cards and banks to charge usurious rates), and MNP provides a way out with consumer proposals. Be advised: consumer proposals reduce your debt, but are the step above bankruptcy, so you will have to build your credit back up after this. But MNP will advise you of your options. I was very impressed with their services.

I am a physician in Vancouver, and cannot express strongly enough my disappointment with MNP. Despite a relatively simple financial situation, I was charged 2-3 times what my physician colleagues were charged for their personal/corporate tax preparation. Services are hands-off and communication is scant. I received an ex post facto $700 bill for a 1 hour phone conversation with my accountant, without any disclosure of this cost beforehand. I will not be working with MNP in the future, and I encourage physicians/professionals to shop around for an accountant that better meets your needs.

I used to work for this company and they don't train you to do your job properly. Expect long hours during tax season not knowing what you're doing. Human resources will gossip behind your back and they don't care about your work life balance. Katri Ulmonen is also the worst partner. Beware.

Some time ago I wrote a fairly negative review of MNP. I felt i was over charged for tax preparation services, they then charged me $600 to advise me that i should pay a $200 CRA charge!! And finally they failed to warn me about a CRA penalty that cost me about $10,000! I advised against using this company.A few months after posting this review MNP posted a response indicating that they were sorry about my experience and could i call them at a provided number so they could fix things! Nice!I called the number provided but MNP had no idea of what to do with me or who might have posted the response to my review. They said they would check on this and get back to me, but surprise surprise, no response. It's not just their tax preparation they fail at!

This company is very sneaky and will charge you for things you aren’t aware of and jack up the price. I would not suggest doing business with them if you are looking for a trustworthy and transparent accountant.

Filing a Consumer Proposal was the best thing I could have done for my mental health and financial stability. Last Year this time, I was drowning in debt, barley able to afford the interest on my credit card, let alone make any progress to paying it off.I was stubborn and kept thinking things will turn around

I claimed Bankruptcy last year and I couldn't have picked a better group do go through. The people that work at this establishment made the process very easy and pandemic safe. Rachel has been an amazing lifeline for me in regards to questions and concerns and has always provided me with sound advice. April has been amazing as well with the counselling sessions and constant support.It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I needed to claim bankruptcy as I had heard a lot of stigmas affiliated with it.but the fact was, I was in debt and couldn't get my head above water to pay for things. As a result of the pandemic I lost my job and the banks were not able to help me so I had a friend tell me to reach out to MNP. I can now say that I have financial freedom and control over my finances instead of them controlling me. (it has been many years since I have been able to say that).At no point is this a fix all for people. Please don't think that claiming bankruptcy is a way to escape your debt. MNP helps you by offering counselling sessions to aid you in being able to manage your finances better and plan for your future. It's about changing and growing.I can't say enough amazing things about my experience with this company and these amazing people! :) I highly recommend.

2 years with MNP, in that time they sent me someone else’s tax return TWICE and grossly overcharged me without notice or consent and then did NOT file my return! So incompetent.. just wow. Go somewhere else, your kid could do better than these yoyos.

I recently used MNPs services due to some extenuating financial issues. I was referred to this company through the Credit Counselling Society. Carolyn was very professional, non-judgmental and very thorough. I was really concerned because after the pandemic I had accumulated more debt then I could handle. Carolyn worked with me on a solution that would make the most sense. I now have all my debts combined into one low sum. It has made my life so much easier and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you Carolyn for your help I'm very satisfied with the service I recieved at MNP.
