The Green and Gold was in existence prior to January 1973 when I was a recruit at CFRS Cornwallis (CFB Cornwallis). Green and Gold was a good place to visit when restricted to the base.My recalled experiences at Cornwallis include a lot of both good and unpleasant timeReturned in 1985 as in instructor.Definitely a memorial place.

Course 8734 checking in.We had the requisite grad" party in the Green and Gold in October 87.It's 33 years later - and I remember those 9 weeks at Cornwallis and my fellow recruits like yesterday. I was in 1 Platoon in Iroquois Block.Our custom t-shirts read: "Force of the First!""

8212 reporting in.It was 41 years ago to the month that I was last here.My wife quietly sat in the car with me while I gazed around lost in a flood of memories. So many memories.Of all the places we visited while touring Nova Scotia, this side trip was, for me, an unexpected emotional experience.

I was there in 1985 and it was awesome. Its been around a long time. Now it belongs to the Provincial Fisheries I think. Great bar in its time.
