I recently had the pleasure of working with Tea & Toast and their advisors, Jean and Tracey, to find a new retirement home for my dad, Ian. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of excellent.Jean and Tracey took the time to get to know our family and our needs, and worked tirelessly to find options that met our requirements. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the retirement home industry, and were able to answer all of our questions with ease. Sherri of Tea and Toast made looking for a Retirement Residence on short notice much easier to navigate.After speaking with you, the advisor provides a narrowed down list based upon on your criteria, accompanying you on site visits and helping you navigate the system is an invaluable service. As well, Tea and Toast advisors communicate with you each step of the way and will answer questions as they arise. They work with your hospital care team to hand off to the Retirement Residence to assist with a seamless transition from hospital to the community.Understanding a move from hospital to a Retirement residence can be very stressful and time consuming and could be full of pitfalls for the unknowing so I would highly recommend Tea and Toast to assist you. They are knowledgeable and transparent. I would seek their services again.

I was so happy to be connected with Tea and Toast to help find a suitable living arrangement for my elderly Mother. Sherri Daly, a senior living advisor, was amazing. Both professional and personable, she took the time to find out my mother's specific care needs, location preferences and budget. She worked efficiently to find suitable homes which not only met my Mother's needs but also had availability. I appreciated the fact that I was not overwhelmed by too many choices and the information regarding different options was presented so that it was easy to compare different places. She booked the appointments to see the homes and accompanied me on the tours, ensuring all my questions were answered. She gave me a few days to think things over before following up with me. I really appreciated all the assistance Sherri provided as I do not live in the area but I think most people looking for a new home for their loved ones would benefit from the services Tea and Toast provides. I would highly recommend this agency.

My sister was diagnosed with dementia, and when we tried to find a retirement home for her on our own, we found the task completely overwhelming. We contacted Tea and Toast and were assigned Jean as our consultant. Jean identified my sister's needs, budget and interests and within days found the perfect home. Jean took the time to follow up both before and after my sister moved in. We never would have found a retirement home as perfect as this on our own. I just wish we had known about Tea and Toast when my mother was looking! I have sung its praises to all who will listen and highly recommend Tea and Toast to anyone who finds them selves in a similar situation.

Tea & Toast was a great help to us earlier this year when we were under a tight deadline to make our selections for a long term care facility for our aunt. We first spoke to Kayla who quickly put us in contact with one of the advisers. Jean was so prompt in getting back to us and very accommodating with our busy schedules despite the fact that she was heading on vacation. Jean patiently answered the multitude of questions that my sister and I had not only about the various long term care facilities but also about the intricacies of the process of placing a loved one on the wait list. It is often very difficult to get prompt responses from the overworked LHIN (local health integrated network staff. It was therefore very reassuring to have an experienced person guide us through the process.

We had a great experience working with Tea & Toast, and feel extremely fortunate to have had Tracey by our side, making this transition as smooth as possible.Tracey’s knowledge, professionalism and her true compassion towards my family helped us make an informed decision, one that suited my father’s situation best.I highly recommend working with Tea & Toast to anyone who needs this service. What a find! After discovering Tea and Toast, our family’s time could focus on other care issues while Jean,(our Senior Living Advisor) of Tea and Toast did the research and matching. She knew of retirement homes with the higher level of care that our mother needed, that we were unaware of, worked with our whole family (in-town and out of town) answered questions and arranged meetings and tours quickly so that we could make our decision and get Mom to a retirement home that serves her needs. Tracey at Tea and Toast was such a great advocate for us. She was able to connect with the social work team at the hospital and let them know about our process. She was prompt in responding to emails and was able to get us into a nice home quickly. This was needed as we were in a crisis situation. She was great on the tour, was able to guide questions and provide some information on the spot. I don't think my family and I could have made that transition so smoothly and quickly.
