Holiday Inn Express Toronto East - Scarborough, an IHG Hotel

Stayed overnight this past weekend. Although an older Holiday Inn Express in appearance the staff and environment were very nice. Able to check in early - room was clean and did not smell musty. No bugs. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. No complaints from us.

Booked a last minute room and we were very well accommodated by the staff at this location. They were all very friendly and paid attention to all our needs and requests. The inside of the hotel is very nice, almost cabin-like and feels very homey with seating, lights and high ceilings. The room was well kept and spacious for my family of four, as was the bathroom. The only additions that would have enhanced our experience are a mini fridge/microwave. No complaints here and would definitely recommend it !

I called to book a reservation for tomorrow evening, and the conversation was going okay with the operator, even though he seemed unable to understand the address (the location of this hotel, in Scarborough Ontario) when he asked for it. I kindly said the location is on 50 Estate Drive in Scarborough Ontario, I can I reserve a room for 2?And he stuttered a bit, then just hung up on me....I suppose there was some sort of miscommunication, but I ended up booking somewhere else instead.

It was quite dirty the hotel. The pictures online look good until you see it for yourself. The rooms smell and showers are dirty and old. We had to change the room when we got there cuz the room they gave us, it smelled pretty bad. So, the other room was not better and it was 10:00 PM and we did not want to go look else where as we drove for 6 hours. The breakfast was just bad. The coffee was good though. I have pictures to prove my review and I can send it to anyone interested. I would not go back to this hotel.

First time attending a hotel, very friendly staff from reception to the cleaning staff. Always smiling. The room I stayed in was very spacious, bed was great size and felt great.Was easy to call reception from the room and ask for any help and they were quick to fix any problems.The breakfast bar was Good, nice range every morning to choose from. Although the pancake machine was what I was looking forward to - it was pretty basic and only had it once or twice. But you had other nice options but you have to get up early to get a good pick and it does shut at a certain time.Also if you need a taxi, the receptionist quickly makes that available for you which was great.Love that the hotel was close to some other food outlets so you don't have to go down town or quite far if you want a McDonald's or something.The keg was literally next door, nice eataway.Would go back! :)

Great place. The staff was always ready to help. For just a two night stay, it was the perfect option.

This hotel property got converted into a shelter. The signage outside hasn't been updated and neither online.

I've stayed there March 6 and 7 (party of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids) and nothing to complaint. Room was clean and smelled great, staff at the front desk where really nice (all 4 we've met!) The included breakfast was perfect, enough choices (eggs, ham, sausages, pancake, yogurt (reg and Greek), fruits, cereals, bagels and wish muffins, juices etc.Would return again if needed!

rooms were nothing special however they were clean, and smelled good. breakfast was very good for a hotel, with many options for food and drink. the hallways had a lot of fire doors and this made it challenging to carry in a lot of items especially if assisting the elderly or children. however the staff were exceptional and professional. and the surrounding area was also clean and well kept.
