These guys are literally scam artists, if you trust the 5 star reviews that’s on you!My experience there costed me hundreds of dollars and fixed virtually nothing, only confusing themselves.

Thank you! PCNix Support and Service Team for your excellent work in reviewing my original request and then helping me with replacing my old laptop screen that had problems with the displayed image.Having worked with the laptop now for the past few days, I have had no issues with it. I personally would like to acknowledge your commitment to performing the expected tasks within the time limits that were agreed by us. My sincere thanks to Amir and members of the PCNix team at the Sheppard Avenue facility in Toronto.

Dropped off my laptop (coffee spill) 2 days ago Thurs). Called me later in the day said they can try ultrasonic cleaning. I asked how long it takes he said they will start Thurs and update me Friday. Friday came and heard nothing from pcnix. Wasn't able to reach anyone by phone (called several times through the day) and their online repair status doesn't work. Today is Saturday I called again and he says it's drying now gotta wait till Tuesday as it's long weekend. First and last time for me with this place. Slow service, poor communication and who knows if this will even get fixed after they have it for 5 days.

My Lenovo T580 backlight rail shorted out as I tried to replace the display screen without shutting off the internal battery. This could have been an exorbitant $800 motherboard (mobo) replacement, but PCNix was able to diagnose the issue and repair the fuse with their board-engineer (thankful they have one on staff!) Most places these days would have just chucked the mobo and have it replaced. The base diagnostic cost was $45 which is reasonable given today's runaway inflation and labour costs. The repair was $100 in addition to the diagnostic fee, but there's no way I'm downloading mobo schematics, buying a fuse, and soldering it at home. The service has always been professional, transparent, and friendly - I had a say in every step of the process. They even cleaned my computer!A pleasure doing business, thank you!Jason

These people are liars. I paid about $190.00 for nothing. My lap top came back exactly same with the locked screen. They only opened it and cleaned dust. And told me it's running well. When I argued how they knew it ran well without unlocking the screen and getting into the system, the answer was we don't need to get into the system to know the machine runs". OMG...they even were not able to get into the system at all and had the lap top with locked screen for whole 3 days. Who wants to know a computer is working by opening up. They just deceived me. They don't want to refund and do anything for this."

I recently took in a laptop for some issues to be diagnosed and resolved/repaired. I am very impressed with the service I received. I had the pleasure of dealing with Tony. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and honest. I appreciated the transparency of the process every step of the way. He called with updates when he said he would and completed the work when he said he would. Pricing was very fair and reasonable. The laptop is now running as it should. Should I need any computer repair in future, I wouldn't hesitate to entrust PCNix with the repair. Kudos. Thanks again Tony.

They don't have the parts necessary to properly diagnose or service a gaming computer, and give personal guarantee's that are worthless. Waited over a week for them to tell me it could be the motherboard. I bought a new motherboard under the GUARANTEE" that it would fix the problem. There was no motherboard problem

So I came to these guys to fix my laptop. As someone with computer repair knowledge (computer science major) but just didn't have the time to order a new motherboard and diagnose any other issues with the laptop i brought it to these guys expecting them to be able to fix it.So when i brought the laptop in i told them the issue most likely was the motherboard overheating. They then charged me a diagnosis fee and then a repair free. They said they unplugged the led on the laptop and it started to work and charged me for that. Skeptical that that was the actual issue i brought the pc back home and tried to boot it. It worked for a total of 5 min and then shut of again. Most likely to overheating. So i call them back and tell them that the issue wasn't fixed and i kind of had to tell them that i wasn't going to pay for them to look at it unless it was fixed and i would pay for any parts that needed to be purchased and gave it back to them. They then held onto the laptop for months saying they were unable to find the motherboard and a whole bunch of other excuses. After them having the laptop for about 5 months i came back to pick it up cause they clearly had no idea what they were doing. They then charged me again cause they said they wouldn't give the laptop back unless i paid a base fee. So just to get the nightmare over with i paid it and never went back.Anyways this was about a year or 2 ago and i finally got around to fixing the laptop myself, i was pretty easily able to obtain a motherboard compatible with the laptop and what do you know the issue was fixed. I'm writing this review now cause i can actually confirm that they didn't fix an issue that was relatively easy to fix for most computer techs and ontop of that wasted my time and effort. This is the first review in my life i have ever wrote for any business but the experience was so poor that unless you are going to these guys with a simple issue i wouldn't trust it.

I had BSOD that I was not able to fix on my own and I am using pretty expensive gaming desktop computer. I decided to give PCNix a chance after some research. All I wanted was to be able to use my PC again as I tried to fix this issue on my own for a month and was exhausted. I was ready for worst case scenario which is to lose all the data and file in my computer. In conclusion, my desktop was fixed and it was OS corruption. Also, all my files and data are preserved. Costed me 200 plus dollars but I got what I wanted and I am satisfied with it. I cannot speak for everyone but at least my issue was fixed so I am happy customer.
