Great experience from all the staff. It was my first time and they are very good to explain all the details and help through the entire process. It was very busy this day so the schedule was behind about 30 minutes or so which meant we had to wait outside in the queue. Dress warm if it's a cold day.I can see why people do this on a regular schedule. Other than the time it takes, the whole process is simple and painless. I find getting my yearly blood sample taken more uncomfortable since they are replacing 3-7 collection tubes. And the snackies! Well, to sit on my butt for 10 minutes and get rewarded with juice, Kind bars, and chips?? C'mon! I see why my dogs are so well trained now.

Staff are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Had a wonderful experience as a first time donor and will certainly be back to donate.

I am so disappointed that it was impossible to give blood. In December, I walked in because of the 'urgent need for blood' and I thought it could be part of my Christmas giving. I was told I had to make an appointment. Fine. I had to call to reschedule because I was sick. I had to wait on hold for an hour to do so. Fine. I live an hour away and when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told I did not have an appointment and the front desk chick was very annoyed because I got married and changed my last name since my last donation. I had recently had covid, so even though I had tested negative days before and could safely go out in public and to my doctor, you did not want my blood (even though many people are running around with covid and giving blood while having Covid without knowing it). I waited quite awhile at the front desk to make another appointment, and was eventually told the girl had gone home and to do it online. That was my last straw, folks. I have to take some time to work and make a living, too! I live an hour drive away and this was a waste of time and gas money. I am and will always be disappointed that I can't/won't give blood anymore. And my last thought is this ... Why is it so damn difficult to do something good and nice?

This is my favorite place to donate, I have been coming here for the past two years. Always felt welcomed and comfortable talking and laughing with the staff.

As a first time donor, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with my experience! The woman who assisted me in checking in/conducting my screening as I arrived was beyond incredible. She let me know that she was cross-training (I believe she mentioned that she is usually the one taking blood rather than conducting screenings), however, she was wonderful at explaining the process and conveying how powerful all donations can be. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name. While everyone I encountered during my visit to the Carling location was absolutely wonderful, I’m delighted to say that my extraordinary experience with the woman who conducted my screening in particular was more than enough to make sure I am a repeat donor for years to come!

I have been donating at this location for about 3 years. The staff here are wonderful and make each donation a great experience. The staff work quickly but safely to make sure that you don't have a long wait. The CBS app is also great for scheduling donations, seeing your donation stats and history, etc.I highly recommend donating blood if you are able!

Bussed for over an hour across the city and got soaked in freezing rain, then sat in my wet cold jacket for 20 min only to be told I'm not allowed to donate. Told to come back in 2 weeks when I explicitly said I won't have time to come donate for another 6 months unless I take time off work (and still may be turned away again!) If you are so desperate for blood as they are saying on the news, why turn donors away? The reason they gave was covid exposure because I had seen my mom 10 days AFTER she recovered from covid. I would boycott if there was literally any other way to donate blood in Canada

I have been donating here for year and I'm even on a first name basis with a few of the staff. Every one here is amazing and they do their best to make you feel comfortable and well cared for. This is a permanent facility and is my preferred place to donate.

Am always well looked after when I go to donate. Such an amazing and important service - grateful to live in a country that has this kind of system in place.
