Our three kids have been taking lessons here for about a year now. The instructors are enthusiastic and make learning fun for the kids by taking an interest in what they're interested it, not just music, but hobbies and other interests which makes the kids SO EXCITED each week to go to lessons. The songs they learn even sometimes take cues from TV shows or online videos the kids enjoy. This makes them excited to come home and practice and sustain their interest in their instrument. They love learning from the teachers at Modern Music because it is a community where they can share their little lives. My son says: I learned a lot of new things

My 4 year old has been having music lessons with Benjamin from Modern Music. He has special needs and Ben has customized the sessions to suit his needs and abilities. My son adores his music lesson time and looks forward to them every week.

Bob is an amazing guitar player and an even better teacher. He has a passion for teaching and learning through music that is fun and enjoyable. His lessons are accurately leveled based on students needs and wants. He's very eager to meet students needs head on. Bob is very friendly and excellent with kids.

Marina is so great with my daughter. She is patient and kind and works hard to keep my four year old engaged. I am so glad to have found Modern Music Studio. Prices are reasonable and the quality of lessons is excellent. This is definitely the place to go for music lessons in Barrie.

I have contacted almost all the music schools in Barrie, looking for a perfect place to put my son in. After tons of comparisons, I have to say that Bob is NUMBER ONE! Bob really gave me a very good impression! He is not just treating me as a potential customer, he is more like an old friend who helped me to understand the musical world. He understands my son’s personal needs and provides us with a lot of detailed information! I would like to leave my son to him without any doubt! Strongly Recommended!

Bob has been an inspirational teacher to both our children. For our youngest, who is shy to play in front of anyone but family, he has worked to find alternative ways to engage our son and encourage piano playing. For our eldest Bob's positive attitude, attention to detail and encouragement for exploration has engaged our son to continue piano lesson of his own free will with interest and commitment. Bob is a joy and positive influence to both our children.

Bob Cole is an amazing teacher who provides a unique experience for his students. My 11-year old son, who never played guitar before, started acoustic guitar lessons with Bob and in a few weeks, he was able to play parts of songs while enjoying it and having so much fun. Whether taking classes in person or online the ability to learn and progress remained the same. I highly recommended this studio regardless of your level of knowledge. Thank you Bob!!!

Excellent music school! Top marks all around. Very flexible and easy to work with. They make scheduling and administration very easy on parents. My kids love their teachers and look forward to their lessons every week. Overall just the best experience with Modern Music Studio.

Bob is awesome as a music teacher. Great instruction on bass guitar with a wide range of cool songs, and lessons also weave in the foundational concepts and theory of the instrument. Bob is really easy-going and flexible--keeps things positive and fun.
