Sleep Mart

We attended the Comox Valley Home show and bought an extremely expensive adjustable bed from Todd from Sleep Mart. We were told at the time of purchase that there was a 100 day, 100% comfort guarantee. After payment was processed we were then informed that the guarantee was for exchange only. This gave us pause and consider cancelling the payment and voiding the deal. After some back-and-forth with sales representative Todd, he assured us we would love the bed, and he would have no trouble “ upgrading us to the top of the line mattresses if need be”Immediately, after receiving the bed, both my wife and I noticed we were waking up with extremely sore backs. We decided to give it an honest try and see if we would adapt. After more than a month and still waking up in pain every morning, we contacted Todd to voice our concerns with him. We were then told that yes he would in fact, upgrade us to the next mattress, but for a very steep price. When we explain to him that he had misrepresented the situation and told us at the point of sale that he would upgrade us, if need be, no mention was ever made of additional costs. This came as a complete shock to us. His explanation to us was, if you buy a Hyundai and you don’t like it and bring it back, they don’t give you a Ferrari. As we absolutely understand this, if there is a guarantee with a car, there is an option by the same manufacturer. I’m sure if we bought a Hyundai , with a satisfaction guarantee, we could trade it for another Hyundai of similar value. PlasmaPedic, and or Sleep Mart don’t appear to have anything in the same price range. This effectively makes their comfort guarantee a joke. I believe Todd completely misrepresented the situation and the warranty. Sleep Mart’s business practices appear to be unethical and deceptive!We now have an extremely expensive bed that we can’t sleep in. We are seniors on a fixed income. This purchase was supposed to make our life more comfortable, but instead has been a financial drain due to the expense of the bed and not being able to use it as it was intended. On the bright side, the adjustable feature is wonderful, and it is great for watching TV. A couple of recliners would have been much more affordable.

Hunter knew exactly what we needed and was super helpful and friendly. We followed his recommendation and got ourselves the best bed we ever had. I definitely recommend any of the plasmaneds.

We had a great experience purchasing a Plasma Bed mattress from the folks at the Vancouver location. Hunter was very patient in answering all of our questions. He certainly knows his stuff. There was no pressure to purchase on the spot as well, which is always nice. In the end, we did go back and make the purchase a few days later and we're very happy that we did. The mattress is top notch and Hunter and the folks at the Vancouver location were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. We will be back for sure should we need anything else.

I went in there for a new pillow because I was getting a sore neck from my old one. I ended up with a floor model pillow because a brand mew one was 3 times the price.I paid over $100 and I wasn't impressed, I can't take it back because it's a floor model, so I went to Winners and bought a $20 pillow which is better, still not perfect but better.They we also doing the high pressure sales tactic to buy a bed, when I stated that I couldn't afford it, I was offered a floor model.I declined again and was called a couple of weeks later and offered the bed again. I declined again, I don't know why the guy would keep on when I keep saying no.The only way that I would recommend this store would be if they change their sales tactics. As of now however, I don't recommend this store.

I am in the process of shopping for a new mattress but haven't made a final decision as yet. A friend recommended that I should start with Sleep Mart on West Broadway. Todd was very informative and provided accurate information which I appreciated.

Honestly, this store is great. I drove by on a Saturday afternoon with absolutely no intention of buying a bed, but I saw a few signs and walked in the door. I had previously been thinking about considering a new bed, but hadn't made any firm decisions up to this point. The sales person was exceptionally knowledgeable about beds in general and sold me a great bed. He gave me a fair price and included delivery, which was a nice touch. The bed arrived by delivery on the exact day I wanted and was delivered at the time they said they would be there. It was also the exact product I purchased with a printed a personalize sticker on the package.The delivery drivers were pleasant and professional, and got everything sorted out efficiently. They even took away my old mattress. Bottom line, this entire transaction was perfect from start to finish and was EXACTLY what I purchased and expected, a rarity these days it seems. I've come to expect that with discount purchase, you never quite get what you expected or thought you were purchasing. With this transaction though, everything was exactly as stated and expected. No surprises whatsoever from start to finish. Absolutely perfect and highly recommended.

Hunter was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we tried multiple mattresses on multiple occasions. He helped us find a mattress that was in the right price range and comfortable.However, I called in a few weeks later to discuss whether he had any pillows for sale and he was quite condescending, telling me I likely couldn't afford what he had to sell and that I was bargain hunting". That was disappointing."

I've purchased three beds (2 plasma and 1 organic latex) and a few pillows from the Vancouver, West Broadway and Oak location. The beds and pillows have been life changing for both my mom and I. Hunter's (Manager) knowledge and genuine desire and authenticity to help us find the best fit for what we were looking for was/is amazing.I shopped around at other 'natural' and organic material sleep stores around Vancouver but this is the one I go back to and will continue to for years to come because of Hunter's knowledge and customer service as well as the quality of the matresses especially the plasma beds.I really enjoy my toxic free sleep without off gassing from any chemicals.Very happy with the West Broadway/Oak St Sleep Mart location.Thanks, Hunter!!! :)

Just recently moved and had absolutely nothing with me, I was in dire needs for a bed and the clerk at the store after hearing about my bad back and financial constraints pointed out a fantastic mattress and quoted me a great and affordable price for not only the mattress but the whole set. I will most certainly be going back to see what other great deals they have available
