Today the restaurant was so busy and the service was short, The kitchen staff immediately came front to help out. I saw them cleaning tables, and serving tables. In this time the kitchen staff were amazing. Overall the food was great, I had a steak which was delicious (would recommend). As I am a regular customer I surely will be going back.

We are not the first time in this city, but we decided to explore restaurants and cafes that we have not been to yet. Very cozy place. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is fresh and tasty. A very large selection of dishes on the menu. We were very pleased. Thanks for the service and delicious food.

The Deep Fried Pickles were delicious! They were brought out right away so they were nice and hot. They had great flavour and excellent crunch - not one bit of sogginess. I highly recommend these.My husband had The Bacon Cheddar Burger and said it was delicious. As someone who pretty much orders a burger at ever restaurant we go to, he said this one was top three. The actual burger patty was very well seasoned, and the fries were really yummy. I can attest to that =)I had The Reuben and it was exactly as expected (I LOVE Reuben sandwiches). The pastrami was very good and the cheeeeese was perfectly melted.I'm not sure what our servers name was but she was excellent, very friendly and attentive. (We were there April 28th at 11am.)Next time we're in Port Hope we'll be sure to stop in again.

Great first time experience. Upper floor was clean and relaxing. Recommend the seafood pasta. Service was perfect. Wine reasonable. Enjoyed the experience and leftovers. Yum

I have been here many times and on multiple occasions seen staff being yelled at by kitchen. Last night I witnessed 3 staff struggling to keep it together due to what seemed to be issues with the kitchen.The service at this establishment is always incredible and it is so sad to see them be treated poorly. I really enjoy railside and hope to return but it seems there are many eternal issues prevalent.

Waitress was nice. Food was terrible. Order prime rib and potatoes. 75%of prime rib was fat. No quality control before sending food out. If this was a nicer cut of prime rib without the fat maybe it would've been ok.

This is absolutely a great restaurant if you need fresh food. Even the meat tastes extremely fresh!. I asked them the secret and got to know they cook everything daily and wont give leftover food. Ambiance is so calming and washrooms are perfect! Staff is very kind ! Great portions for less price and PERFECT FOOD !

Railside has been a family favorite for a number of years. The quality of food is amazing, the service is awesome and they have a fine dining section, as well as a regular diner. Their menu is sensibly priced.

I am so glad I explored this joint. It was my first time and day in Port Hope and I was looking for a Brunch place. The Railside has amazing Breakfast/ Lunch options. The staff is welcoming and professional. The food is delicious. I loved the coffee they served. It was one of the best I have had. I ordered Classic breakfast, the quantity was great for the price. Truly, value for money. The highlight of my dish were potatoes. The seasoning was different and so tasty. Made my day. Highly recommend this place if you are in Port Hope and want good food!
