Laura was so fantastic! We met a few times prior to the wedding and communicated often to make sure everything was perfect (as perfect as it could be). Her words were so beautiful and heartfelt throughout the ceremony. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect ceremony than the one Laura gave us. All our guest came up to us and commented on how genuine and personal the ceremony was. We highly recommend Laura Higgins. She is so well organized, professional, a beautiful writer and eloquent speaker.

Laura was fabulous from our first call. She was organized, prepared and thoughtful throughout - helping walk us through each step to craft a very meaningful and personal ceremony. Laura took the time to learn about each of us, and our story, then wove this beautifully into her words. We were thrilled with the outcome and had so many complements on the ceremony from our guests! Would 10/10 recommend.

Laura officiated our wedding this past weekend. She was such a pleasure to work with during the entire ceremony decision making/crafting process. She was recommended to us by our photographer, who actually had Laura officiate her own wedding ceremony a few years prior!Even through all my indecision (of which there was plenty), Laura was there to help guide us along. We ended up having a fully custom ceremony written by her, with input from us based on some questionnaires we answered. Laura created an initial draft for us, and we had the ability to make edits as we saw fit.She has a wonderful personality and her writing is phenomenal. Laura really captured the essence of us and our relationship. She even did her own research into some of our interests (video game related) and incorporated them into our ceremony in a subtle way that we could enjoy without it be too overt!Her delivery of the ceremony was also perfect. You can totally see and feel her kindness and sincerity in everything she does. Any communication we had with her was met with incredibly timely responses that were very thoughtful and helpful. She also helped us with some of the logistics, e.g. connecting with our vendors as necessary.We would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend Laura to anyone who wants a personal, custom ceremony for their wedding. My mother passed away during her morning nap in her 90th year. I contacted Laura that same day and within 24 hrs she was meeting with me, my sister and my father in the privacy of his retirement home. We spoke for three hours. She not only talked about flow of the service, but asked innumerable questions about Mom. She then asked that I obtain input from other family members by asking three questions. The answers and feedback that she obtained from these sources was then woven into the service making all family members feel included and involved. This is but one way that Laura demonstrated her exceptional empathy, inclusiveness and understanding.As we drafted our eulogies, she offered gentle suggestions which only made our writings better. As we discussed the flow of the service, she provided insightful guidance. Then during the service and internment, Laura worked closely with funeral home staff paying attention to the smallest detail. Following the service, time and time again we heard people comment “That was the best organized funeral I’ve ever attended.”Laura is an outstanding communicator. She readily responds to emails and phone calls and texts, keeps you abreast of how things are unfolding, gets to meetings/appointments on time and is the epitome of compassionate professional. I will use Laura for every important life ceremony in the future and highly recommend her to others.

I had the pleasure of meeting Laura earlier this year when she led a beautiful memorial service for my mother’s twenty year anniversary.Laura is someone who is genuinely interested in people and their stories. She worked diligently to create the most beautiful tailored ceremony that was so incredibly special. Her guidance and suggestions to thing’s we could we incorporate in the ceremony were so perfectly tailored. I had many family member’s approach me after the ceremony to express how touching her words were and delighted at how flawlessly the whole service ran. I highly recommend Laura. I met Laura at my best friends wedding where I noticed how beautiful and personal she made their ceremony - it was one of the best ceremonies I had ever witnessed! Later on she lead a five year memorial for my best friends dad. I had the pleasure of reading the script and was blown away as how she was able to capture my friend's dad's spirit.It prompted me to ask Laura to perform a baby and home blessing! Since this wasn't a typical type of ceremony, she really helped us shape the ceremony to be extremely personal and beautiful! She was so professional, very detailed and was able to incorporate some of my cultural elements into the blessing. Something that struck me was that she really took the time to learn the proper pronunciation of some Indian words and wove some explanations into the script. She truly captured the spirit of our story!We will absolutely use her again for other events in the future!

Laura was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding. Her process made planning the ceremony fool-proof, with examples, templates and guidebooks to help craft something that was unique to our relationship. Laura has incredible attention to detail, asking very specific questions to help write a great script for the ceremony, and is a fantastic writer, telling our story just the way we wanted. She is meticulous in making sure that everything would run smoothly, guiding us through every step over phone calls and during the rehearsal, even going so far as to run through two back-up rain plans to ensure everyone knew what to do. THE BEST OF THE BEST!Laura is one of the people in this wedding industry whom I feel is genuinely passionate about the people, and the work she does.We initially spoke with her on Zoom. She was so warm, and so interested in learning more about us. I felt immediately she would be able to do our love story justice and be an amazing officiant!Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to split up our wedding in two. A legal ceremony and then at a later date- a symbolic ceremony.Laura was SO flexible and helpful. Not only did she officiate our social distanced legal ceremony which only included us, our moms and sister, and Laura- but she then wrote us a much longer detailed script for the symbolic ceremony!Our legal ceremony was short and sweet. From start to finish – it was no longer than 10 minutes. Laura’s words made it the MOST MEMORABLE day of all. She tied in words on my father in law, who had passed, and his memorial tree in which we stood in front of as we said “I do”.This was the first time we saw her in person and she radiated positive energy all around!The script for our symbolic ceremony was PERFECTION. She was able to really balance the sentimental with a bit of sweet comedy. The script had a beautiful flow to it. She included this prayer that was so heartwarming, I had my eyes closed the entire time of it during the ceremony just to hear every word of it!My cousin officiated our symbolic ceremony – with Laura’s guidance of course. Laura spent time giving my cousin tips and tricks- which I feel was just out of the goodness of her heart. My cousin did an amazing job – no thanks to Laura :)Simply put – Laura is FANTASTIC. Her writing is style is exceptional. Her attention to detail is amazing. Her commitment to ensuring your ceremony is flawless is unparalleled.Laura- we cannot THANK YOU enough!!!

I highly recommend Laura if you are looking for a celebrant or officiant.Laura was the officiant for my wife and I's wedding last month, and was not only a beacon of professionalism on the day of our wedding, but also a tremendous guide and aide to us through all of the planning that was necessary ahead of our ceremony. As we worked on our script and planned our ceremony ahead of our wedding date, Laura was incredibly thorough, flexible, professional and all-around helpful with whatever we needed from her. She gave us advice and guidance from her years of experience, all the while helping us create something that felt unique and special for my wife and I. When COVID-19 caused us to scrap our original ceremony plans and move our wedding date up so that it could be held outdoors, Laura left no stone unturned in helping us plan a ceremony that would be both special and safe for everyone involved. Laura was the officiant at my wedding about a month ago. She was, by far, the best decision we made in the entire wedding process. She was extraordinarily professional, organized, and easy to work with - she curated a ceremony that was so personal and lovely, almost everyone at our wedding told us it was the best ceremony they had ever seen.
