These guys were amazing! The entire team from Greg and Sons Movers & Storage were professional, friendly and so efficient. From the administrative end- Perry, Geri and Maureen took care of everything so that the day would run smooth. Our movers were Mike, Shane, Keith and Davlin. They are a great group of guys who actually enjoy their job! They took extra care with every single piece of our furniture-big and small. They were also very careful not to scratch our floors. We would definitely recommend this family run business to anyone looking for piece of mind on moving day!

They took great care in wrapping our furniture and protecting walls, belongings etc. I was pretty nervous about the move when they arrived but they quickly reassured me all would go well and it sure did. We were extremely stressed during our closing process which occurred during the housing market change and were also very stressed at the prospect of having to move our 4-bedroom house from Newmarket to a smaller rental in Brampton. All of our stress melted away when we saw the crew in action and realized that this was the best service we ever invested in. Chris, Darren, James, and Pat arrived on time at 8am and proceeded to swiftly empty our house and load all items with care into the truck. Each piece of our furniture was treated like a baby and carefully wrapped in padding and securely stacked in the truck. Our house was left in perfect condition and these gentlemen were extremely efficient, conscientious, and professional. All items were promptly unloaded at our rental and put away according to our instructions. The crew eliminated all stress for us and finished hours earlier than we anticipated. All furniture arrived in perfect condition and no damage occurred to our house or our rental. We will be moving again next year when our new house is built and will most definitely be enlisting the services of Greg & Sons again. This team is worth every penny and made moving day easy. Thank you so much to each of the crew - Chris, Darren, James and Pat, you're all top notch professionals and hope to see you again next year.

Worse movers...had move from home in aurora to storage for about 3 months till move to Vaughan. The actual movers were nice but Greg and Perry old cantankerous men not polite. When stuff delivered to new home there was breakage and missing items and finally they found missing pieces in warehouse but never paid for broken items and said they gad insurance only to discover they in-house cover but surprise surprise good luck getting restitution.

SUMMARY: Greg & Sons was excellent at handling our move from Toronto to south shore Nova Scotia. It's a family run business, and they provide excellent care and attention. Greg & Sons handled the initial loading and the move to storage; Allied movers was handling the transport and unload. This was a large move from a four-level 5-bedroom home and nearby storage locker. Our experience with Greg & Sons and their partner Allied was perfect. In the stress of packing, selling, moving, and all the details that come with that, the dealings with Greg & Sons was stress free, and definitely welcome. I will not hesitate in using Greg & Sons again, and I highly recommend their services. THE QUOTE: When we were getting quotes, Perry (Greg's son) was was excellent and forthright in preparing the quote, with detailed explanation. G&S was not the cheapest quote — but they were the clearest, the most detailed and had to date provided us the best overall customer service. We chose them. CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Once we selected Greg & Sons to move us, Gerri picked up client management and was amazing; she kept us updated on various aspects of the steps, and provided insight and advice that made the planning, transaction and move easier. This process continued over four months as our goods were picked up in January and stored in Toronto until our new house in NS was purchased and our goods delivered in late April. THE PICK-UP: When the team showed up to load the move (one lot from our house; a second lot from a 10x10 nearby storage locker that we culled from the house real estate showing) it was a cold day and a snow storm starting. Perhaps not usual, maybe because of the weather, or maybe multiple crews elsewhere, etc — I was surprised to see Perry show up, with his dad, Greg ... 'The Greg' of & Sons, and Greg's brother (who ran the box numbering list), and another great fellow whose name has slipped my memory. The guys at the top of the company were hauling boxes and doing the heavy work. The load went well, fast and without problems. We loaded from our house, then went to a nearby storage locker 10x10, full to the ceiling and walls and loaded that. 14,980 pounds of stuff. It was a big move. STORAGE: We stored our goods in Toronto as we had not yet purchased a new property in Nova Scotia. Our goods were picked up at our house the last week of January and they were in storage in Toronto until we purchased a house in April. DELIVERY: The long haul from Ontario to NS was handled by Allied. One driver and one assistant unloaded the entire move. Mike, the Allied driver, and his assistant were amazing. Boxes and furniture were placed into their respective rooms over three floors and in an outside workshop. With a crew of two, the unload took about six hours, which I thought was very reasonable; well-deserved breaks were reasonable and the process of sorting and placing added a bit of time. They were very protective of our floors and house and the goods being moved. Very pleasant, hard working and professional. If our experience is the Allied standard, it's a great service. I used these movers last month to move my 3 story townhouse into our new home, and I can honestly say that I was very impressed! They were quick, efficient, friendly, and professional. Nothing was damaged, and everything was done very quickly. I was struggling to pack things into boxes because they were so quick. Parry came in for a consult before the move, and put our minds at ease. They are not the cheapest out there, but If you want professional, efficient, and careful movers they are they way to go. I have heard so many horror stories about moving companies but I am so glad I did not experienced that. I will definitely recommend Greg & Sons to everyone moving!

Poor long distance movers. Advice for long distance moving - make sure that all of your items are put into a crate so they are all moved together. This company was 3 weeks late with the delivery, lost some furniture and boxes. When we reported this to them, they weren’t very helpful. Luckily they gave us the phone number of the movers that they passed our stuff onto and we had to do all of the follow up ourselves. We were able to track down our furniture and some boxes that were missing but some boxes have never been found. It was extremely expensive and they were very disappointing and didn’t try to help. We tried often to reach the owner but we’re always intercepted by the people answering the phones. I’m not sure that the owner ever knew what happened to us. Find another mover.

We hired Greg & Sons Moving and Storage based on their reviews and we were not disappointed. They came quickly and gave us a guaranteed flat rate price for the move and that is exactly what we were charged. They showed up in time the day of our move and were very professional, efficient and friendly, They wrapped fragile items and some furniture and were very careful loading and unloading. Not one item was damaged. We were extremely pleased with this moving company and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Hello, I know I'm late with this as we moved last summer. I did want to write a small review to state how Greg & Sons Moving was very helpful. They were supposed to start about 8am but showed up about a half hour earlier. I was expecting to stand in the driveway waiting and waiting but that didn't happen! The move went very smoothly from a house to a condo. We finished very quickly, about 1pm - everything was done professionally. All 3 movers were very helpful & friendly. I have already referred this moving company to a friend as they were looking for a mover as well. Thanks again.
