Excellent place to visit with family or friends, very good information provided by kind people dressed as the Nouvelle France era, they explain how normal people lived and how they survived or work at that time, you can even try with them to do some of the activities, the tour inside the house is very worthy be aware that one tour is in English and next is in French, you can easily spend 3 hours in the visit, there is no parking at the house but is very easy to find free parking in the near surroundings,And for those that acquired their Canadian citizenship in the previous 12 months your entry might be free by presenting your passez-culturel.

It’s a lovely museum and definitely had a very informative guided tour. Guide is very very knowledgeable. This is one of my favourite attractions in Montreal.Yes it is far away from other attractions, but it still worth it. And you can visit Irish monument rock on the way to the museum.

This was an awesome tour. The guide was very friendly and informative. I would recommend it for sure. Its an hr long and they offer it in different languages. You cant take pictures inside so that's a bummer but I understand.

Must. Go. On. Tour. The guide that we had was amazing and entertaining! We got to see different rooms in the house and learnt about the history of the house as well as the people who lived in it. The guides were also super helpful in terms of giving us ideas of where to head to next for shopping.

Super Nice expérience visiting an old house of 16 siècle. Make sure you go there while they have outdoor kiosk and activities. 20$ for visiting the house and garden. There is a nice terrasse where you can get a drink and enjoy the beautiful garden around.

Maison Saint-Gabriel is a must see in Montreal! Original 1668/1698 home with beautiful beams, floors and sinks. The history of the farm as an uncloistered community of nuns and their contributions to Montreal was fascinating. The tour includes 2nd floor and cellar of Maison as well as interesting exhibit in barn. There is also a lovely garden.

History of Québec Education system speaks here. It’s the house of Marguerite Bourgeois where she started teaching to the girls for the first time in Québec. Many hospitals evidences, ancient agricultural tools and equipments, food freezing techniques, house heating techniques etc could be the best takeaway for the visitors. Most interesting, the bed had big pile of pillows almost a half of it’s size. It’s because the people during the period never used to sleep in laying positions due to the fear of dying. So, they used to sleep in sitting positions having a big support from their back.
