Highly not recommended - cheesecake was below average and oh boy, I had many before elsewhere.It might look good, but cream from spray, texture and taste are just not good at all. Atmosphere of place is interesting though.Also be aware of the tips when paying options are 20/24/28% and that’s simply absolutely out of hand.I’ll be a little mean in here, but do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

The cheesecake was delicious and had a creamy texture, but it wasn't quite perfect. Despite this small issue, the cafe had a cozy atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, I would recommend this cheesecake cafe for anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a tasty treat.

I haven’t visited in over a decade but still so good!!! Always get the original with the fresh fruit. The red velvet cheesecake was on special so I tried it but the original is still the best. The walnut raisin was okkkkk not something I will order again. We are there for the cheesecake. So happy to see after so many years this place is still so successful and consistent in their cakes.Highly recommend!

An ALL TIME Vancouver Classic. A must visit to end your evening. Simply some of the best cheesecake I have ever had. Open since 1979. Amazing ambience. Live music. Like stepping into a time machine into some 50's mysterious European lounge. Amazing toppings to add to your cheesecake. Go with Strawberry or the Peanut Butter Cream. Just unreal. I've been going for years and it will remain part of my life.

Such a spacious shop that is dimly lit which can be a cool mood for hangouts.The cakes weren’t too special; quite small. But what was nice is that my friends and I were able to chill there for a while and catch up.On a side note, depending on what bus you take, you may have to sketchily walk through a dark, dingy tunnel. Be careful! When I went, there were ~40 kids doing who knows what and blocking the tunnel haha.

The cheesecake is still best in town! I would highly recommend the original with strawberry, it’s so decadent and you’ll be dreaming of it days later.1 star removed because of service style and how disappointing every drink I’ve ordered in the past been. Matcha latte was burnt (didn’t even know this was possible, but a really terrible thing to taste), tea temp scalding, americano also burnt and too hot.If the cheesecake wasn’t so damn delicious I’d probably only give this place 2 stars since the service has changed so much over the years.

Original cheesecake with strawberries topping was a so-so overrated experience. First of all, the cheesecake didn’t have a crust underneath for the people who love something crusty. Hence, the name of the original cheesecake should not be the “original” because historically the first three cheesecake recipes included the base. Back around 160 BC, the cheesecake’s crust was cooked separately. So, I would make a correction on the naming of this cheesecake. Second, Cheesecake Etc is not a restaurant. Again, the cheesecake shouldn’t cost $8 if you are lining up at the front of the restaurant to purchase your dessert so that after the purchase you could wonder around the restaurant looking for a table to seat at. That’s is a frustrating moment that downgrades this place to a simple nighttime self-serve cafe. Finally, when a waiter brings you your cheesecake you’ll be really surprised with the size. It’s a small piece. Smaller than expected. The strawberries are NOT FRESH, which makes it a #3 reason why this cheesecake shouldn’t cost $8. Maybe give it a $6? Or, perhaps make a menu correction cross the “fruit topping” and write a “simple jam on top”? The strawberry jam was simple but very delicious. No complaints there. The last point is the atmosphere. Before Covid, the restaurant used to be much cozier. They had sofa like seating plan along the walls and it added some privacy and coziness to the place. Right now, the tables are set up differently and it’s just not a comfy look around.

A great place for a date, late night dessert spot. Classic home made cheesecake with various topping options. Also live jazz on some nights. Been a Vancouver staple for many years.
