Pidgin has some of the best food in the city. It's consistently delicious. Their staff is so friendly, and they're great at what they do. Go there. Get the ribeye, and the rice cakes, and the beef tendons, and well, just get everything, really.

From start to finish, my experience at Pidgin was superb. We started with the fermented cabbage starter, which was a perfect balance of charred, acid, tart, sweet, and umami. The other dishes continued to amaze---risotto with dungeness crab and uni, and the smoked magret duck breast. Most notably the FOH team were fantastic, excellent service, in sync, and charming. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of dining here based on a friend's recommendation, and we are thrilled we took their advice. The service surpassed our expectations. Our server, Jordan, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also engaging and delightful to converse with. If you are in the area, worth checking it out although would be mindful of walking down Hastings Street which felt very uncomfortable to walk down given the crowd.

I came in for the Valentines tasting menu, got quite disappointed for the $165 per person menu - 6 appetizer portioned dishes for two to share. It could be subjective but I’m only 100lb and I ended up leaving the restaurant feeling hungry :( The space was super crowded almost felt like eating at a ramen bar. food taste good but the menu was not very well designed - its just too heavy with cheap ingredients: heavy cream based soup, overly buttered risotto, salty bacon risotto and thick creamy dessert. I’ve been to many fine dinings, not very impressed with the overall food quality and ambiance.

First time I tried a tasting menu and it did not disappoint. We tried the regular tasting menu for a birthday celebration. I forgot the name of the food but it was divine. Definitely will try the chef’s station tasting menu for another experience. We did the food and wine tasting. We will definitely go back and we have been recommending this place to out friends

The cheese filled tempura morels, unpictured scallop tartare amuse bouche, and the asparagus green pea scape salad were amazing. Went for the chef's table experience which was worth it. We left with our tummies filled just the right amount.

It’s a Michelin recommended restaurant and it’s easy to see why. It’s a great fusion of Asian and western cuisine and all the dishes were carefully curated. We had the tasting menu and a virgin cocktail and it’s not for a full meal - it’s only to highlight the dishes and the restaurant. If you order separate dishes, I highly recommend the scallop and bison dish! It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth the price and the wait based on my experience.

I've visited pidgin before the pandemic and that was a wonderful time, attentive service, great wine selection and a rotating tasting menu. This time, I visited with friends and I think they've done a great job of showcasing a wide variety of flavours, textures and techniques for the winter 2023 tasting menu. The tables favourite was the matsutake chawanmushi with its delicate pudding like texture and saltiness of the fish roe.The Hokkaido scallop was the second favourite with a great balance of acidity to compliment the meatiness of the scallops. Cream sauce was perfect and wish I had some noodles to soak up the rest.

Everything was fantastic about this restaurant. It is a very approachable Michelin Star cuisine. I had the pork belly and wings. My friends had the scallops and smoked halibut. All Wonderful dishes.
