Spice Nails

I was charged a reasonable amount for my christmas nails and they did a fantasic job. Super friendly, I go here every time I get them done. Ive never had an issue with them. It is cheaper if you pay cash because there is no terminal fee.

This used to be my go-to.... Since the pandemic, service and quality have gone way down. I get it hasn't been easy on small businesses but you think you'd want to retain the customers still coming in. While carrying the bottle of polish to the chair I accidentally dropped it and it broke. The man got SO mad. Handed me toilet paper to clean it up, all the while huffing and puffing and shaking his head. I felt awful and they made me feel worse. The lady was literally on Facetime when she started my pedicure. When my friend asked if she was on a call, she said she was....ummm yeah that was enough for us. We said we were leaving, they both started screaming at us about the broken bottle of polish and the man tried to physically block us from leaving. At this point, no work had been done on either of our feet. He literally screamed at us all the way down the mall... Wildly unprofessional and terrible service.

My nails are gorgeous and I saw Jessie. She's amazing!! My nails are blue and I love them!! I got a pedicure and manicure and shellac so it was great!!

Make sure you know what youre paying before you get the service. I paid $150 for acrylic nails and regular old toe polish. Felt gouged.

Worse customer service ever. Went well to the shop when it opened. One client and staff on-site and was told only one person could do nails and he was too busy. What a joke!

I showed the man the picture I wanted- I asked for a thin slick little curved line in the centre of my nail going across each one. He was doing an okay job but then another customer walked in and he proceeded to rush so quickly to finish my nails and the job is so messy and uneven, not worth $60 in the slightest. This now will stay on my nails for two weeks… not impressed at all

Had my nails done there ( acrylic)2 days later they started to chip, went back to get them fixed and the man who was fixing them, also the one who did them in the first place.Told him I wanted him to fix them and all he wanted to do was file them down to where the chip ended. I told him that I could have done that at home but wanted him to FiX what was not done right at the start. After that he was very rude and even hurt me when he was filing off the old stuff.After he was done “ fixing “, the nails they were bumpy.My nails have never chipped after any nail salon appointment I’ve had before.Would not recommend this place to anyone!Wishing there was an option for 0 stars

Highly Unprofessional..only two workers available, rush service! and unsanitary. When asked to perform simple tasks , attitude and tone was inappropriate. Was givin worn flips instead of disposable manicure slippers. When ask about shoes given, major push back and dismissive Definitely Not worth the money. If You have other nail choices to choose from please do! Save yourself the aggravation and waste of time and money..

I had the worst experience. I was having a bad day and I just wanted to do something to make me feel good, so I decided to go to spice nails to get a pedicure. This place was recommended to me by my aunt who has been going for years! Her toes always look so good and she cannot say enough good things about the services, so I was excited to go! Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. The lady that did my toes the first time was so sloppy my pedicure was literally 20 mins. I looked at the application of my polish when I was getting up to go sit by the dryer and noticed that my pre-existing polish was still showing through the new polish. Also most of my toenails weren’t even completely polished and were smudged. I brought it to their attention and another lady took it off, went back through my cuticles and told me that it was my fault that I could still see the polish because I had applied the old polish too close to my cuticle. She then proceeded to tell me that the polish I chose wasn’t a good polish. I said “then which one should I use?” she said “they all do the same thing and this was a good colour.” So after the second lady finished reapplying my polish I sat at the dryer for 25 mins, I was then told that they were dry and I could leave. I put my sandals on and proceeded to pay. ($47.00) Once I got to my car I noticed that 2 toes were smudged and that I had polish all over my skin. I contemplated going back in but in the end decided that I’d go back in and ask for a refund because I was not happy with my service even after being done a second time. The man that works there proceeded to yell at me and say that he could clean it up but I will not be getting a refund. I then said to him that I didn’t want it to be cleaned up because I already had it done twice I just wanted my money back. He pointed his finger in my face multiple times and continued to yell at me making it seem as if it was my fault my toes weren’t done properly. I then told him that I am a hair stylist and esthetician and that when my clients are not happen (and if I cannot fix what they are not happy with) I give them their money back no questions asked. I then told him that I would be calling the cosmetology association Nova Scotia on Tuesday and making a formal complaint he then just looked at me and had nothing to say. Still not refunding me my money. I went to this place wanting to feel better but in the end I left feeling worse. They are in the only industry, besides the medical field, that allows them to touch people to make them feel better. I am beyond upset about my experience and the way I was treated. I would never treat a client the way he treated me totally unacceptable . I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Totally disgusted by their customer service.

To begin, I’m not one to complain or make a huge fuss. Since Covid has hit we have all tried to make ends meat, I emphasize with that. However, the service I experienced was truly awful from the start. They had a late start. Which was fine I suppose but wasn’t a great first impression. It was my first encounter with this business because their prices seemed reasonable. So I thought I’d give it a try. The place was unsanitary and the workers were inattentive and rude. During the service they cut my finger and toes 3 times. When I flinched they said nothing. After my pedicure they had given me used flip flops not those disposable ones you usually receive. On to the manicure, the shellac was not fully painted on. When I left I was shocked at the price it was a 100$ for poor service even though the pricing board had said 83$. When I returned to demand the owner to fix and own up to his mistakes he was condescending and rude. He denied that he cut my finger and toe.Please save your money and never go here, it’s absolutely atrocious!P.S I wish I could give 0 stars, because this is what this business reflects. 0 star service.
