The clinic is very poorly organized. I felt like a second thought to them. I had a video consultation scheduled with Dr. Maharaj (the doctor that was supposed to perform my procedure).1) I received a phone call (not video call) 5 hours before my scheduled consultation by another doctor that said she would answer all my questions so that he didn’t have too many questions to answer. I asked where he was, and she said he was next to her with another patient. I found this very upsetting as this was a paid consultation and I was NOT prepared for it as they called so early.2) The clinic continuously referred to me by the wrong name. I corrected them atleast 4 times, but they still did not fix this. Something as simple as my name should not have been an issue to fix.3) Six hours later I received a phone call (again not a video call) from Dr. Maharaj 47 minutes after my original scheduled consultation). I was not expecting him to call me again so obviously I did not have any questions prepared (AGAIN). I told him he already called me 6 hours ago and that my original scheduled consultation should have been an hour ago. I explained that I didn’t have any questions prepared because of this and instead of offering an apology for all the mix ups, he said “we’re just picking at weeds here, you’ve had most of the day to prepare for the consultation”. As if I was inconveniencing him. I read many great reviews on him but my experience with him was far from 5 stars. He made me feel little with how he spoke to me. When I did ask him a question his answer was condescending. There was no need for this kind of behaviour.4) I brushed off this experience and assumed Dr. Maharaj must have just had a very long and stressful day. So I called the clinic to schedule my procedure. They gave me a date and time that did not work with my schedule and so I asked if the clinic could either call me back or email me other dates and times that I could look over. They said this was not an issue and they would do this the next day. The same evening, I received a text message from the clinic that I needed to provide a deposit via e transfer for my procedure or they would give my spot away. This was completely out of the blue! A price, or date was never even discussed. I texted them back telling them I haven’t even chosen a date for the procedure and I hadn’t discussed any prices with anyone yet either. Also, I was not going to be paying them by e-transfer. This was really sketchy behaviour. But honestly this was the straw that broke the camels back.I have had cosmetic surgeries before and I can honestly and truly say that I’ve never experienced anything like this from a cosmetic clinic.I will however say that Edna (I believe she’s one of the managers) was the reason I wanted to give this place a shot. When I originally called just to inquire she was extremely attentive and polite on the phone. It’s unfortunate how events transpired afterward.I hope this review will help the clinic and it’s staff to improve the way they treat their potential patients. I also hope my experience will allow anyone looking at the bad reviews to understand why there were bad reviews amongst all the 5 star reviews I was seeing.

Folks, I urge you to please do not play with your health or body. Do not over look the other reviews like I did. The risks are very real and the detriment to the health, look, and feel of my body came at the cost of me wanting a quick fix to how I wanted to look. If you’re willing to go ahead sure, perhaps you'll get the select few staff who will give you the outcome you need, unfortunately this was not the case for me*UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS REPLY* “Hello we haven't operated you. We ask that you kindly stop leaving fake reviews”This is definitely not a fake review..Hello, how can you tell if you operated on me or not by the two initials you see for my name? Mam, If you cared for customer service perhaps you would respond back and ask me to reach out to you guys so we can come to a possible resolution, instead you get immediately defensive..How does it feel to shame me as a customer now? I hope you can take a lesson from this. Perhaps if you took a different direction in your response, I won't be posting this publicly.I truly appreciate the kindness from your nurses however I felt that I did not receive the adequate care that I needed.It almost felt as if after you got my money, you started to care less about me.What is sad is that these people are quick to reply a negative review but slow to give proper patient care.

I will start with the positive comment. I had a hair transplant on Saturday and everyone was nice, caring and accomodating. Special thanks to Doctor and the technicians, they are amazing! every detail was perfectly orchestrated for the procedure of my hair. the two lady technicians who worked on my hair are very knowledgeable, patients with my questions, understaning of my worries and most importantly my hair was in good hands. they did their job with all delicacy!As a negative comment, the procedure is super expensive and I almost paid 99% of it few days before the surgery. so the coordinator called me after procedure and instead of starting the conversation with asking how I am doing with my swollen face , she just started with an angry tone and wanted to make sure that I will pay my balance of $130 by the end of the day!!

After 8 years of being a patient, I can say that my experience has been incredible. My family, friends and I, feel safe to come to a place where they work impeccably, we have always felt at home and I am grateful to Sonia and her entire team for treating me like family. You are a safe place for me and I am forever grateful.

The clinic‘s staff and manager provide professional and courteous services. They truly care about you. Dr. Masri is great! Highly recommended him and his team. They deserve extra 5 stars!

I had the Allurion gastric balloon put in at this clinic. The staff is amazing and very kind but the procedure does not work. It cost ~$8000 with meds and it is meant to be a non invasive procedure to support weight loss. It did the opposite for me. I had it done about a month ago and have gained close to 8 lbs. the ballon causes me to be nauseous and hungry all the time. I always did intermittent fasting but since this procedure I cannot. I called the clinic and they are not able to help and Allurion doesn’t care at all. If your thinking of getting the procedure done here or anywhere PLEASE DONT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY! Once you have the balloon, your put on a strict diet. you can lose weight on a calorie deficit and healthy eating without the balloon. It does not suppress your appetite. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I had an amazing experience with the lafontaine clinic…I had 2500 grafts and I’m at the 6 month stage and I am thrilled with the resultsThe staff was very friendly and it was a very long procedure but they were very kind through the whole procedure from start to finish.It’s worth every penny!!

Don't understand all the negative reviews. I guess with cosmetic surgeries things don't always pan out as expected.Had my 3,500 hair transplant yesterday, it was a long day for everyone. I was well taken care of by all staff incl. Dr Castillo. No pain the following day, no swelling, all good so far! They followed up and checked on my recovery.Not the fanciest facility compared to some Yorkville centres however I would rather pay a little less and ensure staff gets paid more than get treated in shiny and artsy offices. Worth it in my opinionFred

I had a great experience with this team. They were very accommodating. Offered me rides as I was an out of town patient and went above and beyond to accommodate me. Sonja was the best to deal with all got back to me quickly with any questions I had. I’d recommend this place to anyone ! Shelby
