Costco pharmacy got my emergency prescription on Wednesday afternoon. I was told that I can only pick it up on Thursday morning. (they had supplies, just were too busy) I got reassured that it would be ready by the store opening. I managed to make due with my leftover supplies on Thursday/Friday.When I showed up on Saturday mid day I was told that they haven't even started the prep and I need to wait an 1 hour in store to get it. 2 and half days late! but what's worse is being lied to and wasting so much time just to find it out.

Did the automated route because they do not answer the phone anymore! The automated service said it would be ready after 2pm the next day,my wife went in at 3:30pm and still not ready. Have a standing order for different eye medication and they only gave her 1.Now I have to waste more time to go back and get the other one.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have seen.Neither does their pharmacy website work,and it would be an absolute miracle if they actually pick up your call.been trying for 2 days with no answer.

The staff are good here, but they are all overworked, and there aren’t enough of them. Costco will not provide sufficient staff, and long waits and aggravation are the order of the day.I could share an endless list of disappointments with Costco Pharmacy, but I will explain today’s experience as a singular example:I ordered my prescription online and I received a message saying that it would be ready the next day (May 11) at 2pm. Knowing that my prescriptions are never, ever ready on time, I gave them an extra day before picking up. When I went to pick up on May 12th (instead of the 11th), there was a line up of approximately 25 people in front of me. It took me 37 minutes to get through the line up, and when I finally got to the counter, I was told that only one of my medications was ready, and that I would have to wait another 20 minutes for the second medication.I shopped for 45 minutes and then went back to the counter, where I waited another 15 minutes, before my second medication was finally ready. However, instead of giving me my usual 90 day supply of medication, they only had 2 weeks worth prepared for me. I explained that I needed 90 days, as per normal, and I showed them the math of how many injectable pens I would need for 90 days of coverage. Again, they asked me to sit down and wait while they get my extra dosages prepared. I waited yet another 20 minutes before it came out. So, by this time, I had waited for well over an hour for an order that should have been ready the previous day.There is no amount of savings that is worth the aggravation of shopping at Costco Pharmacy. The staff are very good and the manager is excellent, but they are literally flying by the seats of their pants, and it’s the customer who suffers.I hate to do it, but I will be moving my prescriptions to London Drugs. I simply cannot deal with it anymore, or begin to fathom the state of chaos at the Richmond Costco Pharmacy. It’s a shame, because they used to be good. I absolutely would not recommend using this pharmacy, unless you enjoy being frustrated and aggravated.

I first used this service several years ago when they started. It was awesome and is extremely good for long-term pharmaceuticals. They would call when they received the prescription, confirm details and call when they dispatched the order which would arrive within a couple of days. Reordering was simple during Covid time, fast and efficient. However, that has all changed. Over the last 2 months I’ve sent in two prescriptions at different times, neither of which were acknowledged or showing-up on my account causing me to phone a week or so later. Luckily they were able to find the original prescriptions and send them out but this is not how the service was designed. I have spoke to them about it and they have apologized with the “we’re really busy” excuse. Aren’t we all? These are medications, which rely on efficient, prompt attention and your system should be well streamlined by now. Smarten up, #costcopharmacy

Totally waste of time. Never use their services. Went to there and the staff told me I have to pick up my medications NEXT day because there are many clients at the moment. Fine, because they said those medications will be READY to pickup next day. When I went to there next day, they told me one of my medications is out of stock. Wt? It makes no sense at all. They apparently have no idea about their stocking.

Came in to ask someone about my booster appointment since I didn’t know what to do and this Asian lady just pointed all the way to the right where I was talking to her at the prescription drop-off. I asked her do I go to the person beside her, but she continued just pointing to the right, so I just went all the way to the right to ask the person I saw there. First I stood there for two minutes and she did not acknowledge me at all, then she couldn’t use her words to answer my question? (I didn’t get her name, but she was working on May 4 at 4:40pm and had her hair tied up). I ended up asking an Asian guy, and he was kind telling me where to wait and he got someone for me. The person who ended up giving me my shot was super kind! Her name is Wendy, she answered the questions I had and was very polite! Just hope that first person I spoke to customer service skills improve as pointing isn’t always the case and words are better to use.

Unbelievably slow. My prescription is simple - 3 boxes of prepackaged pills - all they have to do is grab it from the shelf right there... but they told me I have to come pick it up tomorrow after 11am. I came back next day 1pm, still not done, they told me to walk around and come back.....Their workers are nice, just their system is so bad. The design of the flow is so bad, ridiculously nonsense - one person checks your prescription, then order sits there and waits, then the 2nd person pack the pills, then the order sits there and waits, then the 3rd person give you the pills, and then the oder moves to the next line, and then waits, and then the 4th person explains the pills... no wonder everything is sooooo sloooowwwwww...If you have serious condition or important medication, don't come here, you might die before you get your pills.
