This is Bernie's favorite place. I tried a few things and they tasted like dog food. Bernie loves it though.

Great staff - beyond friendly - Amber's bakery seasonal cookies there - I may have just cleared a lot of the selection - sorry not sorry

I arrived at 8:01pm after calling a few minutes before closing and when I got to the door I wasn't let in. I called en route at 7:57pm to let staff know. I only called because I thought that my business is appreciated, staff would recognize me and would be cool about it. I was warned about it on the call about a strict policy, that's fine. What's not is that I was hung up on while trying to call to let them know and speak about it.I'm happy to come back the next day normally, but I called en route because I travel tomorrow. Also I didn't arrive at 8:05pm I arrived at 8:01pm and the store closes at 8pm. You never know what a client is going through - I tried to communicate. I even suggested that the bag I know I buy be put aside and I'll run in to pay. I was both hung up on and denied entry in a time frame of maybe 3 minutes. I think it says alot about this place.I just scrolled and read some reviews. They haven't been overly friendly on any visit here, I feel like I'm serving them with good vibes and cheerfulness every time I visit. Feelings confirmed.Maybe they care about some clients and not others? I've felt that I wasn't part of the favourite crowd here before when comparing how I'm treated vs. other clients being served around me when I visit. I moved to the area in May and I'm going to travel west back to Roncesvalles to get my cats food from there. Further away but worth the trip, I always feel I leave there happy.Having pets is a luxury and so is being able to have a business where one can generate a healthy profit from clients' pets. I think its always best to choose to do business with those who care and value your business - especially for luxury items. I like being loyal to businesses but when they let me down, its time to go elsewhere where one feels valued.I’ve been loyal to this store since moving to the area this past May. Glad I got my free bag of raw food from them on my last visit the other day, which will be my final visit doing business here unfortunately.Oh yeah, I have 3 cats and I've been a cat dad for going on 6 years now :)

They were not very knowledgeable about their products and it didn't impress me!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff with a great offering. Otto pulls us down the street to visit when we are within a 2 block radius. Happy to have them as our neighborhood pet store.

I have really enjoyed shopping at the majority of the stores in Toronto/GTA. The staff have been helpful, friendly and professional. Out of the plethora of pets stores I've entered both big and small, Global Pet Foods has always been at the top.When I moved into a new neighbourhood [Lower Jarvis, Toronto] I was excited because there was a GPF down the street. Unfortunately, the store mentioned above, has not maintained the same standards as I was used to getting from GPF stores. The owner is dismissive, rude, condescending and combative. The rest of the staff do not seem to have much experience with the products, making it almost impossible to receive any appropriate suggestions. It is now to the point where I try to order online so I can limit the interaction with the staff.I see some people have had good experiences... so perhaps there is different treatment given to the new vs old customers...Either way, I am now looking for a new store in the neighbourhood who actually wants to have their customers feel welcomed into their store.

Staff at all Global Pet Foods locations are well trained and super helpful. GPF has a loyalty program for dried food, and they keep track of your purchases in their system. After the 12th bag, the next one is free. I come here for the great selection of high quality, high protein cat food made in Canada. I don’t know how their prices compare with other pet stores or online, and it doesn’t matter to me. I’m happy to support a local business with the friendliest and most helpful staff.

I found everyone at this location to be friendly and respectful! Upon entering the store, I was greeted by everyone. The agent was eager to explain the rewards/loyalty program to me, and helped me with locating the item I required.
