Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
Pasta was good when i ordered take out so decided to dine in,Came in 50 mins before close before server told us that they were closed, we left but got chased back by owner who was enjoying his dinner saying we can come in. Waited 10 mins at the door until someone greeted us and sat us down. Service was horrible, as they treated us as burden that we went in soon before closing. We ordered focaccia 2/10, a tomato pasta and a cream pasta. Pretty over priced for noodles with no protein. Server came out with one pasta, we were waiting for the other one but she said we never ordered it as she did not right down our order. The second pasta never arrived. Was upset to see that she blamed us. Dessert was good but the server just dropped our check off before we asked for it when we wanted dessert. sad to say I have not been back since

Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
Went here for Valentine's Day/ GF birthday. The food was great and the servers were lovely, however there was a serious lack of staffing for the amount of people that had a reservation. We had a reservation for 5pm and ended up paying and getting our desert to go at 7:45. Felt bad for the people that had reservations for 7 as they had to wait outside in 3° weather as there was no room indoors to accommodate.

We enjoyed the food very much! We had a lovely anniversary dinner. It was nice and cozy inside and the seafood was very fresh indeed!

Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
What a lovely evening I had here! I was with a friend on the beautiful patio at dusk and we had the chef's menu which was absolutely fabulous! The banter with our server was both witty and lovely, and the food was delicious to say the least! I felt as if I had been transported away for an evening to the Cinque Terre. Could not recommend this restaurant any more. If you are debating on dessert, the deconstructed tarte au citron is a must. Can't wait to come back again :)

We were seated in the very corner, and probably got forgotten about since two tables that were seated after us got their orders in first. We kept trying to grab the server’s attention so we can have our orders taken or at least our drinks, but with no success. So we just left.Thankfully, Blackfin had a table for us next door. Perhaps we’ll come back and try again another time and will change my review then, but it’s a complete miss today.

While I have let up somewhat on my don't eat seafood unless you can smell the salt air rule over the years, I do still like to maximize my seafood opportunities when on either of the coasts. And finding myself in the Comox Valley for Christmas, dinner at Toscano's Mediterranean Grill for some good West Coast seafood was on the menu. You can even see the Comox Harbour out the window -- when it's not pitch black so early in the evening...There were some interesting pasta and other grill options on the menu, but as discussed, I was here for seafood. For my starter I went with the Lemon Chili Garlic Prawns, described on the menu as Wild-caught red prawns sautéed in chili, garlic, and lemon butter.Topped with microgreens, they were served in a sizzling skillet, which kept them piping hot as I worked my way through. The lemon wedge was hidden by the greens so I didn't see (and use) it until I was half way through. While well-cooked and flavorful, I would have liked a bit more chili heat. Still, an excellent starter.For my main, while I was tempted by some seafood pasta, I went for a more fish-forward main: Pan-Seared Steelhead, described on the menu as Fresh steelhead with polenta, grilled vegetables, carrot puree, orange caper beurre blanc, Eatmore Sprouts microgreens.Very nicely plated, and a good serving of fish. My only down-note would be that the veg was a bit too charred (ie, burnt) in some places. Otherwise an excellent dish. The fish was cooked nicely, flaky with a nice sear. Tasty sauce. For me the surprise standout was the polenta, that was so creamy and delicious with an excellent toast on top. Every bite was delicious.

Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
We had reservations at 7, and everyone who was in the line early had reservations for 7. You know its good when you show up early for a reservation. We had the lamb meatballs to start, very scrumptious. And My Prawn Carbonera was so good I ate it all and had no room for dessert (get a doggie bag and have dessert it looked great) Service was wonderful and the whole restaurant smell got your taste buds salivating. Will keep on going, its worth it.

Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
This place was highly rated for seafood and they did not disappoint. The menu offers an array of tapas, mains, and pastas. The wine list was an added bonus. We ordered a number of tapas to share and our favourite had to be the beet salad. One star deducted because there isn’t much ambience inside. Otherwise, it’s well worth the visit!

The best chicken dinner I’ve ever had!! Very limited seating so making a reservation is suggested. Every bite of this meal was knee slapping delicious. I would choose Toscanos over other local restaurants because you just can’t beat the taste.

Toscanos Mediterranean Grill
Overall the food was OK, nothing special, we ordered 4 plates of different dishes and they all were just spaghetti (there's Fettuccine, Penne etc.).Usually Italian restaurants have variety of pizza, desserts (like Teramisu)..The service was good although the restaurant was very busy.
