Hakim Optical GTA - St.Clair & Vaughan

I had inexpensive sunglasses that were loose and the manager patiently fixed the arms. I was just a walk in and was so pleased that he helped me and did not charge me anything. Reminded me of days gone by where the local merchant was always willing to help.i need to have an eye exam soon and will definitely be back and choose from their wonderful collection.

This was the primary Hakim I've visited, but this is more the organization as a whole.Frames are cheap and flimsily made for the price, I've had lenses pop out on more than one occasion and the screws getting loose. The sales people are generally not friendly, very hawkish. I had a pair of glasses get a scratch on them, and despite having the scratch resistant coating the best they could offer was to replace the lenses as a whole.I'm over it, better off looking somewhere else for your glasses.

Terrible place they don’t have availability until May. This is not good. Bad bad bad and the hours for Dr. is only until four. This is not good.

The gentleman that answered the phone was so supportive and kind. I had issues at the Hakeem on Bay and Bloor where I was not allowed to try on more than three glasses. But the gentleman that I spoke to at this location said I can try on as many as I wanted and he was so accommodating and patient. Highly recommend this location.

I've had my eyes tested, purchased 2 pairs of glasses, and recently a pair of prescription sunglasses at this location. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they really care that you're getting the best lenses for your needs, and turnaround time from the lab to the store is reasonably quick. I will definitely continue being a customer here!

Horrible and offensive customer service". I made a joke about looking down at the mirror on the counter because it is a terrible angle (makes you look like you have a double chin)

The male manager/or owner was friendly to set the eye exam appointment for me. However one of the older female staff there was mean. For some reason I had to change my appointment, I asked her is there any other time I can take. She asked me to check her calender and said you tell me". She has also been very rude to my daughter and my husband. We will never go back again."

July 18th, 2020. I arrived at Hakim about 4:30 pm. The service was awful and both persons working there were rude to me. Their customer service certainly this afternoon was very much lacking. The woman who came to open the locked door for me (Locked due to COVID); addressed me roughly after I told her I needed my glasses fixed as the lens had popped out again, this afternoon. I was taken aback at her manner. She took the glasses to check it at the door. I still left standing outside. I stepped inside; she expressed her annoyance. I expressed mine at that time. Then the man who works there came to the front door and said loudly and in a disrespectful tone Wash your hands!" pointing to a bottle of sanitizer that lay on some furniture. The man was more abusive than the woman. I did tell him that the other man who attended to me throughout the years was polite.After some minutes of back and forth with the man

I went into this store to fill a reading glasses prescription. Both clerks were busy with customers, and nobody acknowledged I was even there. After 45 minutes of waiting patiently while they doddled behing the desk, one of the clerk's (a small, older man with glasses and an accent), gave this customer a bill for over $800 for two pairs of glasses. She was speaking to her husband, who didn't speak English, and told the clerk that she couldn't pay that much right now, and thought that her insurance would cover more of the price.The clerk got visibly upset with her and preceded to intimidate her. Telling her that she must pay the money now because it had already started processing, and that she had wasted his time. This went on for about 5 minutes and was one of the most disgusting things I've ever witnessed. I left the store and will never return to a Hakim Optical again. I can only assume that the employees here receive commissions from their sales. Regardless, there's no excuse to speak to someone like he did. It took all the willpower I have to not interject into the situation.I hope the woman and her husband also too their business elsewhere.
