I was lied to, misled and misrepresented by the selling agent and the buying agent.On Friday August 21, 2020 I found through the MLS website MLS listing 40009120. I was attracted to the property as I thought that it possessed good value as a property that I have been calling for quite some time.I called Lisa Scott the selling broker about the property on Saturday morning to coordinate a showing of the property. Lisa had assured me that because the seller was away on holidays on a kayak trip up north and would not return until the 28th, it would be not a quick sale. I was assured by Lisa. Lisa would not allow for dual representation thus directed me to Laura Graham to be the buying agent to avoid a conflict of interest. As it turned out today (August 27th) when I called the office to speak to Lisa about the property, the admin help (named Maggie) directed me to the agent Laura to speak on behalf the Cross Country property. This is my first grievance against Reva realty. How is it that Laura can represent both the buyer and selling agent and not be in conflict of interest.I spoke with Laura Graham on Saturday. We agreed that Laura would email me the supporting package for the property and I would touch base early in the week to coordinate a showing date once I took a day off work. On Tuesday morning once I had booked off Friday to visit the property I called Laura to coordinate the showing. I had to call and email Laura multiple times before she actually got back to me. We confirmed for Friday at 11:30. I had asked simultaneously for her to put that confirmation in writing several times and finally received after the 4-5th request confirmation on Thursday of visiting the property on Friday (tomorrow) at 11:30 am.I have also asked that Laura begin preparing a conditional offer so that we can be prepared once the property had been viewed. Today, with my frustration with Laura's poor communication I have reached out to the Reva's office, and got Lisa to call me back. Apparently, the property has been sold since Sunday (The day after Lisa told me it would not be a quick sale and would be at least until the 28th).Laura has yet to call me back to let me know of this sale. Both my dad and I have taken a day off work and plan to drive 3 hours (1-way) tomorrow. We do not know that the property is sold. Had I not been frustrated with Laura's abilities as an agent I would not have known and wasted 6 hours drive time and a lot of gasoline visiting a sold property.I believe this was a mischievous backdoor deal in which Lisa has sold the property to a family member or someone she is friendly to. I struggle to understand why the agent would not accept all serious offers and think the seller should also be made aware of this concern. I was prepared to pay above asking price for the property and believe that if the property sold for asking or below this should be taken quite seriously and both agents should be penalised for the non-professional actions. Further I have taken a vacation day which is now effectively wasted from my work and feel frustrated and the brokerage’s lack of empathy. As of this time, Laura has yet not reached out to me to inform me that the property is sold and to not come for the showing anymore.My advice to prospective sellers of Reva: You may not be getting the best deal possible. Reva in this situation has demonstrated if a good property comes around they will sell it in secret as opposed to letting the fair market play its course.My advice to prospective buyers: Be prepared to have poor representation, terrible communication and have your time and efforts not respected. The fact that Laura has not yet communicated to me not to drive 275 km one way tomorrow is appalling.I have issued a formal complaint against this brokerage to the Real Estate Council of Ontario to express my frustration and in hopes that the seller may be informed that there may have been foul play with the sale of his property.Sincerely,

I was interested in a lot that was listed by one of the Reva agents Jack Biernaski. I drove from Toronto to Denbigh 2 times (1268km) and was really interested but I had to give up eventually and due to lack of information. I have informed the agent I am not interested anymore after which he was persistent in wanting to know what are the reasons I am giving up. I informed him that the reasons were due to the fact that we (he) couldn't confirm what the boundaries of the lot are and is there someone currently occupying the lot. From the gps coordinates I have obtained from ontario topo maps website and after the second onsite visit, I had good reasons to suspect that someone is occupying the land with their trailer and several other small structures. In response to me stating the reasons why I cant submit the offer, he sent me a very angry email and threw a tantrum, which I think is really childish and immature. Definitely a far from professional attitude you would see with most other realestate agents.

Lisa really cares about helping families buy or sell their home. When Dash and I were looking for a place, Lisa made an incredible effort to satisfy our needs and went above and beyond to help us find a great home.

Lisa has assisted in buy and sell of many properties for me and my husband. She and her team are honest kind extremely helpful and very knowledgeable they go to great lengths to help in every aspect of the buy and sell. I wouldn’t use any other agent in the north Hastings area. If I could give a 10 star I would. Ignore the previous disgruntled post. It’s from one of my tenants and not true.
