Kevin's Taiyaki

It's a small stall located inside P.A.T Mart. They sell 4 different flavours of fish cakes, red bean, green bean, black bean and custard. They are crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. I often get the custard because I think it tastes the best. I usually avoid getting the bean flavoured ones as I do not like the chalky texture. The fish cakes are usually fresh, they have some on display if you want to grab something quick and go. But if you don't mind waiting, you can ask them to make you fresher ones. Fresh hot ones usually take 5-10minutes. The prices have increased over the years but not by much. They offer discount pricing. If you buy more they give a discount. They are priced at around $2-2.25 each depending on the flavour.Overall, this place is reasonably priced and delicious!P.S. My flavorite place for taiyaki in town. Must drop by after my hair cut. It just next to my salon i went to. Their red bean and custer are the best for me. It is fantastic if they freshly made. A must visit in town if you like this snack.

Delicious taiyaki! Located inside PAT Supermarket, this tiny taiyaki (crispy waffle) store satisfies your sweet tooth. With two flavours, Custard and Red Bean, you can't go wrong with either option. They come as an individual or a box of five. The staff are very nice and quick to serve. Most of the time, they will have some premade already. Do note, that they take cash only!

Taiyaki has a a few flavours options, can be purchased individually or in a big number. They are made fresh very quickly and they are delicious. They only accept cash, so make sure you have cash on hand. It is in a supermarket, so there is no tables to sit.

These taiyaki are so good! They are made right in front of you so the outside is crispy and the inside is warm and soft. Not too sweet, just perfect. Keep in mind that it's cash only.

These taiyaki are SO delicious!! My favourite is the custard flavoured one. They are delicious and warm right when you get it at the shop. This location is inside of the PAT grocery store and the door is accessible and has an automatic open and closing. When you enter it's right to the left of the main entrance you cannot miss it! Highly recommended!

I’m not sure who Kevin is but I’m certainly grateful that he started making taiyaki!Located within PAT Central, this small shop offers 2 flavors - custard or red bean, and pairs a generous amount of tasty filling with a crispy batter at only $3 a piece.Flavour-wise, it’s not quite the same as the taiyaki in Japan, and aesthetically it’s quite literally a little rough around the edges - but that’s okay, it’s not competing with Japan. It’s not really competing with anything. They do one thing and they do it very well.Note that it is cash only. Although there is often a short queue, quick turnover due to an efficient service means you won’t have to wait long.

I must admit that another reason why I love going to Pat Central is I know I can enjoy the deliciousness of a Taiyaki after I finish my grocery shopping.Kevin's Taiyaki is located inside the grocery and is definitely not hard to miss especially with the delicious aroma lingering in the air.They make the best golden fish-shaped cake - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and filled with sweet filling of your choice which in my case and my favourite - the sweet red bean paste.One bite into this fish shaped pastry ensures you get a buttery crust and tender mochi-like chew on the inside with the rich sweetness filling spreading into your mouth.Taiyaki is best consumed as the street food it is - eaten while still piping hot from the pan. I tried bringing it home once and it's not as good as when you eat it fresh.
