This place is FABULOUS. The food and service are just impeccable. I cannot not suggest the SBLT with fois! We also always have to have the sausage trio. Made in house with homemade jam,mustard and sauerkraut.

Amazing. Everything was delicious and our service was second to none. Within 12 seconds of reaching their front door, we had 3 separate people ask if we had a reservation. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place!Nice town and a nice restaurant.Great food for the first-time experience of German food(but not really sure about German foods though).But if you visit Bregg Creek, I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We spent the night in Brag Creek for Mother's Day and The Bav & Tav was recommended to us. We were not disappointed! They were very communicative when we arrived that their kitchen was backed up and there would be a wait before we could place a food order. We enjoyed a drink in the sun while we waited for the kitchen to get caught up, and it was worth the wait. We ordered fairly simple dishes, but the flavor was incredible. I definitely plan on going back and trying some of their other offerings.Highly recommend!

The restaurant is VERY nice and cozy.There very spacious decks and patio areas along with a separate bar.Unfortunately, our food was less than stellar.The pork hock was cold on the inside, skin and fat rare.The accompanying items were not cold, nor warm but the potatoes were burnt.The spaetzle was hot and spectacular.The majority of the other guests were enjoying the schnitzel so we should have followed their lead. Perhaps on another occasion we will.The bar and restaurant are furnished very well but our midday meal entertainment was loud music from the ‘50’s to present playing pretty well most genre.We thought they would play German music for the German gasthaus atmosphere but this was not the case.

We attended a wedding reception here, and it was fantastic! The owner and servers were friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. We will definitely be back for a regular dinner service sometime. Well done!

I find German food very bland but that's the cuisine. Environment and execution were great. Very consistent and great location and scenery. Food was high quality. Slightly under seasoned imo

We thought this would be a good restaurant in Bragg Creek but we were quite disappointed with the food.The food was very very salty. It was actually so salty that we had to leave half of it on our plate!The schnitzel was OK but it tasted burnt. Most likely the oil hasn't been refreshed/changed for a while or it got burned.The spätzle were rubbery. Most likely they've been made a few days ago, frozen, and then reheated. We make our own at home and we could definitely taste and see the difference!The service was friendly, though.The food is very expensive!For the owner of the restaurant:Die Qualität der Speisen entspricht überhaupt nicht den deutschen Qualitätsstandards! Get a real German chef!

Felt really hungry after hiking in Kananaskis and this was the first place that came up when I had no phone signal—best decision ever made! Ambiance, service and food was perfect, but the apple strudel had a bit too much cinnamon in it; may as well call it a cinnamon strudel with some apple. Nonetheless, will definitely be coming back if we are in the area

Really enjoyed our night at The Tav, food was excellent and the service was over the top. Great setting in beautiful Bragg Creek. Perfect date night.
