Super 8 by Wyndham Smoky Lake

In my opinion one of the best hotels in the area. Rooms are always clean and tidy. I live here regularly and always see cleanliness and order. Everyone tries very hard to do their job well. I recommend! Of the minuses, it should be noted the low speed of Wi-Fi

Rooms were cold and noisy, no temperature control and click flooring, took a long time for hot water ! Highway noise as well, could hear every car and semi go by!

Overall I enjoyed this hotel but because it is part of the Wyndham group some things were disappointing.Good things:*Location was central to our activities and made commuting easy*The breakfast was tasty and fresh (especially important when included in room) and restaurant staff were very friendly!*Beds were comfy, good selection of pillows, fresh towels*kuerig had good choices and large fridge*Wifi was easy to access and kept connectionAreas of Improvement/Disappointing:*The fitted sheet didn't seem to fit the bed so it was consistently rolling back.*Cleaners open the blinds which exposed the contents of my room - Espiecally my laptop (you can see into the rooms)*Rooms are not soundproof so easy to hear neighbours*Cleaners did not refill soap/lotions*Stairs are great for your bum but not those with. Mobility issues

Really enjoyed our short stay for a hockey tournament. Chris is a huge asset to this hotel - great to deal with and very accommodating to our large party. Breakfast was great with lots of selection - and fresh. Rooms were tidy, beds were comfortable and linens were very clean. Pleasantly surprised with this hotel.

I have never had something like this happen before. I phoned in July to book a month in advance. I did mention that I was late booking from the date that rooms would be held on the wedding invitation. Nothing was expressed to me as far as that being a concern and I booked a room for two for one night. I received a call today the day before we go up for the wedding. The person on the other end of the phone told me that when I phone to book I told them to cancel someone's reservation and put myself in and they are overbooked and so because I did that there's no room for us. I never have and never would do something like that! It's bad enough that there isn't a room but then to accuse me of doing something underhanded is really infuriating!

We stayed here for 6 weeks with my family, work related. We really appreciates the staff that works here. Especially Chris very approachable and friendly. Also, the housekeeping are very keen in doing their job. My kids enjoyed the free breakfast. The room is spacious and neat. Be back here for sure in next year. Thanks for having us! The bed and linens were clean but the room could use a good clean beyond what is normal and possible in the short period of time cleaning staff are given to do their job each day. There was grime in corners and lots of scuffs on the wall and this weird rusty spot on the bathroom floor. Also there wasn't a swing bar lock inside the room which I usually expect in a hotel room for added security.
