We have been going to this campground for several years. This is a perfect example of what happens when little to no maintenance is done. The grounds are clean but are becoming run down. We went a couple days with no hot water with a reason of cost to bring in a professional. The comfort station has most sinks and toilets unusable. The ony one available for the men would not flush for the entire week we were there. I still can't figure out how you can clean a washroom twice a day and not notice a toilet full of poop.

The serviced camp ground is beautiful. The cleaning of the bathrooms leaves much to be desired. WARNING:. My sister got Cellulitis from the shower. 3 weeks on antibiotics and still in pain and it is not healing. If you don't know what Cellulitis is look it up. It not treated quickly you can loose your leg or worse it can kill you. The washroom has 4 or 5 toilets, 2 showers and 3 sinks. The cleaner" took 4 minutes to clean the bathroom. What does that tell you?"

What an awesome place. Too bad internet service wasn't a bit better. But don't really need that anyway.

There are electric and water hookups. There are also plain camping sites for individuals or groups. All of these can be found right on the beach but are booked months in advance so book early or take your chances on one being available upon arrival. The boardwalk is the most recognized structure in the South Shore. The Petite Riviere General Store is within walking distance and also sells alcohol. A fuel station is there too, along with many camping supplies including propane tank exchange.Rissers Beach is very popular, meaning in high season the beach is well used. It is easily accessible if your camp site is not already on it. One of the warmest Atlantic Ocean beaches because it is sheltered by a series of islands that protect it from the open sea and is rarely foggy when all around the area is socked in.If you want more privacy there is Sperry Beach which is accessed by the Green Bay road by turning left at Mariner Crafts ( No signs and is a sand road) . It is an area full of sandy beaches. Crescent Beach is the largest and a five minute drive toward Bridgewater from Rissers. Cherry Hill Beach is a ten minute drive the other way and a place to get away from the heat as it's always cool. Turn left after the fire hall in Cherry Hill. Just a beautiful area to cruise around .

Beautiful beach(s), quiet campers, close to multiple towns to drive by.

We have ben going here for close to 20 years and keep coming back in all parts of the year. This year it was the last open weekend, Thanksgiving, and we lucked out with the weather. The campground was good as always, only would have expected to have the washrooms fully opened up by now. While I get it that is the end of the season, the campgrounds on both sides were almost full and thus more capacity would have been a bit better. But overall a good farewell for another year.

All campers of all ages must visit and stay for a while. Camping ground is clean and staff outstanding. Beware, once you discover this place, you are bound to revisit over and over.

It's a good spot with a lot to do! There's RV camping on the beach as well as across the highway where the main comfort station and playground are. Wooded area has some good spots with more privacy.

One of the nicer campgrounds we've been to, and we've been to 100s. Hot showers, level campsites, nice dishwashing station, could use a few more trees. The only downside were the horrible speed bumps going in AND out of the campground. We had to crawl along at 2 kph so we didn't do damage to our trailer. The beach trails & salt marsh boardwalk were very nice too.
