The most cozy and intimate dining space I’ve been in since The Duke in Strathroy.I wanted to order something for takeout today, it had been altered but they pleasantly obliged my request.

My daughter and I came in for dinner for the first time at this place. I am not one to ever complain, as I'm the first one to write a review to commend service, food and atmosphere. I came away from this experience feeling disappointed. Food was OK, as I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with salad and my daughter ordered the butter chicken/rice. We did not order any alcoholic beverages and my daughter ordered a pop. After our meals were served... no one checked in if we needed anything and I had to go up to the hostess to ask for a refill for water. I haven't ever had to do this and honestly felt that we were less than. I will not be coming back again, as I came away feeling disrespected.I can appreciate people require their jobs, so I will not be naming any names who served my daughter and I this evening (July 6th).

Good. The service was quick despite only seeming having one waiter for the entire dining room. The Philly cheesesteak was not as good as it used to be. The beef tasted like leftover stew. It was tasty, it just wasn't what I expected in a Philly cheesesteak. It's starting to feel a bit run down. That makes me sad. Shakey's has been a Guelph staple for so long.

Great food and good service! asked for a side of sweet potato fries and they gave me the full-size by accident and didn’t charge extra, definitely not complaining. sweet potato fries were good and caesar salad was yum.

Nice atmosphere and good service. Due to the pandemic the menu has become shorter but still there was a good choice.Food was excellent. Loved the Yorkie. Had a great time.

Wonderful lunch visit with my son yesterday in an uncrowded space at a table for two by a window where warm sunshine poured through. Light lunch took over 1/2 hour to prepare. Luckily we had lots to talk about. Food was tasty.

We haven't been to The Shakespear Arms in quite some time, but the wife and I thought we'd dine here recently. The atmosphere is great, warm and cozy and you really do feel like you're in a rustic tavern. Pretty neat.Everything about our evening was great. Only minor complaint is that it took some time for the waitress to greet us and take our drinks orders.The food quality and portions were good. We found the calamari to be a little too crispy, but maybe that's the style here. Jambalaya and Chicken Wrap were great. We'll come back next time when there's Live music.

We had drinks and dinner. I had the roast beef Yorkie, and my husband had the fish and chips. The atmosphere was a traditional pub-style. Service was good. Food was acceptable.
