Wouldn't give them a star.I moved into one of their units in the beginning of September, moved out by March 1st. In my time there I had someone break into my friends car, I asked them for months to look into the cameras and they couldn't be bothered, then after 4 months was finally told they only get a weeks worth of footage. We had a pest infestation and they had handled that but left an absolute mess in my unit and left all cupboard doors opened, when I tried to call about it, I was ignored.I moved in one day and didn't have the time to do their entire cleaning list that they provided and just cleaned up what I could, missed some odd things here and there as well as I had fixed some of the things that were issues when I moved or small things out of my own pocket, other than leaving some things dirty, I left that place in better condition than I rented it in, they couldn't even be bothered to fix the blinds or put the window screen in the bedroom back in. Fast forward to getting my statement and wondering if I would get my $775 damage deposit back or at least some of it. Other than the regular charges I understand, they charged me $600 for carpet cleaning and then ignored my request for a receipt for proof of those charges, then overcharged me on top of that. No where should be charging $600 for carpet cleaning, especially for an apartment that barely had any carpet, I have seen houses cleaned for less than that, and that is including travel. I see this isn't the first time they have overcharged people looking at these reviews. I had also left a bad review when I was trying to move out and I was phoned by them and asked to take it down so their status goes up. Would not recommend Magnum York to anyone.

Thank you for getting me into an awesome apartment. Was very clean and smells great, so much room to be able to bring all my plants thank you for fixing my heat/water very fast service I was called right away and it's all fixed. Now to have a hot bath in my new tub!! Thank you for the wonderful staff awesome people (recommended)

Magnum York has managed one of my properties for almost 1 year know and I must say that I am very happy and satisfied with their work and professionalism.Congratulation to everyone for been part of this successful team, Karri who I started the business relationship with, Daryl who I recently met and has been great and, of course, Ginny and Nicole for taking care of my property as if it were your own and for always being open and available to talk about new strategies. You all are great!!!

I am a tenant from a private owner. The tenants in the unit above were waking me up every single holiday or weekend for almost 3 months. The excessive noise would start around 6am and continue on until they went to bed. I tried speaking with the tenants several times, even playing them a recording of how loud it was in case they didn’t understand. When they were rude and uncooperative I made a complaint to the condo board. The condo board at first refused to help until my landlord got involved. I had made a call to Brandy who never even had the decency to follow up with me. That leads to to today, when my landlord contacts me about a “bylaw infraction”. Apparently it’s ok to not leash your dogs here (as there’s at least 2 small dogs and 2 big ones that are never leashes), but having a tie up around your post while your outside with the dog is an issue, as well leaving the tie up there when the dog isn’t on it is apparently an issue. I was considering growing some veggies this summer in these planters I’ve found on Amazon, they aren’t traditional planters and are meant for balcony areas. I have no idea what the regulations are and wanted clarification on what I can and cannot put out as I would never knowingly break bylaws. Some condos have strict rules that even state what colour things you put out can be, so in light of not wanting another complaint I wanted clarification. Seems fair right? Apparently not. Daryl (who according to their website was just recently promoted) told me to get clarification from my landlord because it’s not his job to manage my landlords property. I asked him what was the difference if me or my landlord called and he responded “not my problem” and ended the call. I tried calling the office back to speak to whoever his boss is as I saw no reason for this level of disrespect or why he would choose to be so unhelpful with someone who is simply trying to be compliant and no one would answer my call. I finally called the Calgary office to get the info of his supervisor. This man’s customer service needs to be audited and he needs to be disciplined. This is a small town where word of mouth can be your best and worst form of advertising and there’s absolutely no excuse for his behaviour or unwillingness to answer questions. Every reasonable person knows sometimes jobs with any form of customer service come with doing things that aren’t by definition “your job”. But being rude and simply unhelpful is never acceptable. I am the niece of an owner of property management company, can’t imagine my uncle EVER allowing his employees to treat anyone the way I was treated.

I’ve rented with them for years now, and had very good experiences overall. When something is broke, I call and they get it fixed immediately. I really appreciate Leona, her amazing service and that she is very understanding and compassionate. Thanks Magnum York (red deer team) for being a great place to live.

Very clean apartment. Building seems secure and well kept. Nicole and Leona were very pleasant and great to deal with. It has been a great experience for my son's first rental.
