Moffatt Farm Veterans Park
We go to this park very frequent with our dog. Unfortunately It's not an off leash park. They now have signs threatening visitors with dogs off leash that people can call bylaw on them. It's unfortunate because we don't enjoy it like we used to before the pandemic. There are way more people there now and it's not a good place to bring your dog off leash anymore. However, and saying all of those negative things it is the most beautiful park that Ottawa has to offer. It's great for picnicking and birdwatching and to state the obvious, to enjoy the trees themselves.

Great place to have serenity and tranquility. On the other side, The near by Rideau River is awesome place to swim..Max River depth : 10-12 ft

Quiet linear path that winds through the forest along the Rideau River. There's a good place to let your dog swim, across from Mooney's Bay.

The field is meticulously manicured! The residential area around the field is beautiful and posh inciting the feeling of a very inviting and lively neighbourhood. We were playing ultimate Frisbee there so the experience was great, we even had a van full of kids exuberantly scream and wave their welcome wishes to the field of players while the mother abashedly kept the van at a pace of 10km per hour.Overall great area in which I'd love to return.

Moffatt Farm Veterans Park
This is a wonderful park on the Rideau River inside the Moffat Farm sub-division which is close to Prince of Wales and Meadowlands. The park has a good soccer field and a nice playground for the younger children. There is room for an as-needed, junior soccer field as well as the main field. There is a well maintained pathway running along the river that extends beyond the park in either direction. This is a great place to bring a dog for a walk or just for a bit of fresh air.
