Thrifty Car Rental

Be wary of renting from here. I travel extensively so I know what to do to safe guard myself from predator rental agencies. I always take video of the vehicle before leaving document the mileage and before returning take video of the car, gas and mileage before returning. This was an hour wasted of my time as they hit me with a fuel surcharge which I easily was able to disprove. Talking to Hertz Canada the parent company this seems to be an ongoing problem at this location by the manager Alok and his team.

Amazing service from Alok at this location. I had a last minute change in plans that required winter tires or all-wheel drive and he was able to switch my rental to an SUV at almost no cost. Really appreciate the above-and-beyond service. Super polite and personable.

I used these guys a couple months ago, everything was fine until I got back and they slammed me with an extra $250 on the bill.I got an email stating that there was pet hair in the car and that pets were strictly prohibited". That's not what's advertised on their website...If they wanted to charge me for a bit of extra vacuuming

I rent a car from Abbotsford airport Thrifty car rental and they have charged my credit card $100 dollars extra and haven’t paid back yet. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THERE.

Based off all the bad reviews I was very worried I would show up and they would only have a tiny car to offer me. This was not the case at all. I got a last minute deal on a midsize SUV, less than $300 for 3 days & when we arrived they offered to upgrade us to a full size SUV for no extra charge. The two gentlemen working the counter were friendly & quick to get us on our way. No extra charges on my credit card & no phone calls reporting any damages, it's been 3 days since we dropped it off. I would definitely rent a vehicle from this location again, thanks so much!

Don’t brother calling, no one will pick up, they have the ringer off or silent. I just called corporate to ask questions about my reservationWhen we arrived there was a long line of people (only at Thrifty too) and a shortage of vehicles. There was quite a wait.Got off the plane at 4:15. We started waiting at 4:25, friend got our luggages from the belt at 4:40 then actually got the paperwork signed and in the rental car by 17:10, which isn’t bad with the situation at hand.Car was pulled right up, very clean and the staff working was very nice. Very easy going and drop off was such a breeze. Will be renting from them again!

Decent vehicles. Good price. Not knowledge or good with anything other than a basic rental. I reserved an SUV with snow tires because I was headed over the Coquhalla in winter. I showed up to find that they not only did not have an SUV with snow rated tires, but that they were completely ignorant of the regulations requiring them or what a snow rating looked like. I was offered an upgraded SUV with 3 season tires and told, It's OK

I was not a person who had rented a car before coming to this location. But after the experience i don't think i will ever be able to go any other place when i need a car. Harmeet working here is one of the best guys i have met in a professional workplace. Being in customer service industry from last 5 years myself i know how this sector works and it would not be less to say that he is a perfectionist in this. No matter what time i need his help to have a car he is always one call away and gets the work done. And since the first vist until now this guy surprises me with his customer service skills by getting better and better. You have a very bright and great future ahead buddy. Just keep doing what you are doing and sky will be the limit for you. All the best!!!

Just picked up our car from Thrifty at the Abbotsford Airport. Usually this is a service where I’d think “why bother with a review? Who reads rental car reviews?” but our customer service was stellar enough to warrant one. Friendly, accommodating, patient. Thank you!

Glad I didn’t read these reviews before using this agency. I had a very positive experience with Thrifty/Hertz at Abbotsford Airport. Check in was easy and the fellow behind the counter was fantastic. I mixed up what spot he told me to pick up my car from, just happened there was a brand new Camry in the return spot #2 as well as pick up spot. So even when I hauled everything back to the counter, the guy working was great. He came out with me, made sure I was all set, and left more contact info if issues. Car was excellent, clean, comfy, couldn’t ask for more. I had to juggle my trip a bit and needed to contact them to ask about early/ after hour drop off fees etc. No answer on the sunday but picked up right away on Monday and again, great service on my inquiries. I would not hesitate to use this car rental agency again.
