SCAMMERS DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!Screwed my friend around hard, zero communication skills, would not get back to him for any questions about an emergency claim, he had to get a lawyer involved and they responded instantly, then all contact had to be done through lawyer, in the end didn’t even give him near enough for what his claim was worth, they are soulless and don’t deserve their license, lowest of low kind of insurance company,

Opened a claim without my permission when I called to ask a few questions about a small bonk with a snowbank. Absolutely screwed my insurance rates and nothing even happened to the car . Will not correct. Honestly horrible experience from start to finish. Do not recommend.

Negative stars. The root of this company is dishonest, unprofessional, and untimely. Everything is so slow to process, we’ve lost out on months of business due to it taking weeks for staff to reply to emails. We constantly have to go through the broker to get them to answer us or provide any updates. Their appraisal staff couldn’t complete a simple truck valuation and we had to hire an outside appraiser at our cost. Their initial staff act helpful and completely drop the ball. There is no follow through. 2.5 months and still no answer on the status of a not at fault claim on a business vehicle. We will be leaving as soon as this is settled.

This company should go under. See below reviews for a similar experience.I will say the health portion of my claim went smoothly, however, I will be switching my insurance as soon as possible.I was in a not at fault accident at the end of January and made the claim that evening through gore and the next day reported the accident at the collision centre at the police station. A couple of days later while I was busy at work the adjuster called. I asked if she could call me back and didn’t hear from her for 5 days and so I called back the general number and another agent took my info and set me up with a rental when I needed it.I ended up emailing the adjuster multiple times to go over the accident and repairs that needed to be done or if there was any paper work that needed to be filled out. I never heard from the adjuster at all and had to get in touch with the supervisor. It’s now the end of May and still dealing with this accident.I went up a curb and wanted an alignment my brakes checked and a safety. I must have been flustered and forgot to mention when I initially called about the claim about going up onto a curb and applying brakes at full force they are refusing to cover any of this, even after months of emails going unanswered. They went off of a stick drawing from the person who hit me to determine this.The repairs weren’t properly completed and won’t give me a rental for the initial repairs even.I just switched from Allstate and I am severely regretting this decision. I paid more with Allstate but I had much better service.

I was unfortunately in a weather related accident. The car was totalled. I started reading reviews of Gore and got nervous because of what many reviews said. I am happy to say my worries were completely unfounded. Gore has been absolutely great. I will say they are a little slow on communication but when they do communicate it’s helpful, pleasant and productive.The person who I dealt with lent a kind ear as I sobbed through my retelling of the accident (it was still hard to talk about at the time) and made me feel at ease. She quickly arranged a rental and then they offered what I found to be a very fair settlement as my car couldn’t be repaired.Honestly I can’t say enough good things. I had never dealt with insurance before so I was so nervous going into this but I rate gore 10/10.

Sarah and rosco have dealt with my claim and have been zero to no help. Your company sent my 2021 dodge Durango to Car Star West Brantford. I have had to pay out of pocket for the last 3 weeks after my 1500$ was paid through you for my rental, I haven’t received any help with the extra delays this company is outrageously slow and not giving me direct answers on my vehicle parts they’re waiting for, each day I’ve called they have said different parts, they told the insurance broker Sarah it would be done on the 19th of May and ready for pick up. As I phoned Monday May 15th Daniel from Car Star said that they were waiting for a front rack and a wire, he was waiting to see when it would be in and was going to call me back I never received the call back so I phone today May 16th and the rack was completely avoided and says that the wire is all that’s left, with no expected date it would be arriving and when I can pick my vehicle up. The time frame of the accident was April 1st 2023 and the date today is 6 weeks from when Car Star received my car, I would image they would assess the car when taken apart to see what they need and order it, I have paid insurance on the vehicle my husband has injury’s from the accident he’s in physio for and has been out of work completely and I have to pay 1000$ deductible multiple car payments two insurance payments and the rest of what’s owing for this rental. The broker I spoke with CUT me off completely while explaining my concerns and out of pocket expenses telling me it’s not their fault that it has delays and there’s nothing they can do. This customer service is horrible

Very frustrated! We have a GORE Mutual home insurance and car insurance policy. We were in a car accidental back in March. Our car was totaled. 3 weeks prior to the accident, we purchased this vehicle. GORE still didn't even give us the full value of the car, even though it was purchased 3 weeks prior. Also, we were told to run all damaged goods, from inside the car, under our home policy which we would have to pay an additional deductible. When we opened up a case with our home policy, our agents switched 4 times and we never received any contact since. I paid 100% out of pocket for everything damaged in our vehicle without resolution or payment back on any of it. Horrible service and very frustrating to have nothing resolved with our damaged goods from inside the vehicle.

Mixed review. I was in an accident in November of 2022. There have been some bright spots or employees that have gone above and beyond to help which makes this sort of mixed as a review. On the other hand. My car was a write off and to this day, I have still not received the contents of my car. I get no response to the emails and no response to the messages I’ve left. Found out they sold the car and never even made a request for the contents of the car or personal items. A one star if not for a couple of people there.

HORRIBLE. Do not get any kind of policy with this company. We submitted a claim for our business in in the beginning of August 2022. Every time we reached out for an update, we were given the run around and was told they would provide an update. We were passed along to three different representatives with neither of them being able to give us a proper answer until yesterday (May 9, 2023). Almost 9 months for them to tell us our case can not be covered under our policy. Absolutely ridiculous!! This should have been mentioned at the beginning when we we submitted the claim. They do not care about their customers.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gore Mutual insurance company. A year ago, a truck from the City of Ottawa knocked down our power pole while clearing snow, causing us to lose power. We spent $2,000 to repair the damage and filed a claim through Gore Mutual, hoping to get reimbursed for the cost.However, after waiting for 11 months with no response, we tried to follow up with the company, only to be met with rude customer service representatives who were unhelpful and unprofessional. They claimed that it was in their best interest to get the money back, but still refused to provide any assistance in resolving the issue.To make matters worse, when we contacted Gore Mutual a couple of months later, they informed us that our claim had not proceeded because there was no evidence indicating that the City of Ottawa could be held responsible for the damage. This was despite the fact that we had provided pictures of the truck that caused the damage in the initial claim. It seems that these pictures were not submitted with the initial claim and were just sent later on in an attempt to reverse the resolution, which was unsuccessful.The lack of professionalism in dealing with claims by Gore Mutual is highly disappointing. It is not clear that the claim contained all the evidence and there was no follow-up to ensure that all necessary information was provided. The company's representatives took weeks to answer emails and did not respond to calls, leaving us feeling like we were wasting our time.Overall, my experience with Gore Mutual was completely useless, and I would not recommend this insurance company to anyone. If you want reliable and professional service, look elsewhere
