This place is absolutely ridiculous. I came in with shallow breathing and sharp pain every time I took a breath about 3 and a half hours ago through AMBULANCE and i’m still sitting in the waiting room. No one has an answer on when i’ll be seen or seem to care that I am in severe pain. Their only explanation is that the doctor is in a procedure and they have no idea when they’ll be done. Horrible horrible experience.

I recently had foot surgery at Bowmanville Hospital I found this a very positive experience from start to finish. Volunteers, nursing staff and Dr.s were very professional and extraordinarily kind. All expected outcomes and procedures were thoroughly discussed with me. My O.R nurse and Dr.s were cheerful and reassuring, even had me laughing at one point.

I had such a worst experience here, this place is actually what needs not to be called a hospital. The fracture clinic doctors (especially the doctor melleck) working so unprofessionaly. My god! How reckless they are.. They don't even consider it as their responsibility to let the patient know about the condition and recovery. Such a carelessness they are showing towards their patients. It's a big NO to go there.

I was in the emergency today at Bowmanville hospital. My experience was fantastic. Everyone I dealt with there was just so dedicated to making my visit there seamless . They were so good and organized . Great to see these days a hospital that really goes out of their way to get you looked after. Thank you for helping me .

Although I had a 5.5 hour wait time, from start to finish, I was really impressed with the staff in this Emergency Department. Even though they are over worked and under staffed they were kind, compassionate, and they listened, which is not the experience I have had at urgent care clinics.I am so grateful, especially to Dr. Graeme Higgins, for taking my situation seriously (unlike at the urgent care in Courtice). He was kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable when it came to the treatment of my condition.It feels extremely good to finally be seen, and validated. I'm looking forward to finally feeling more like my old self.

This Hospital has the worst service. They are not willing to help sick or near dying patients. The black receptionist was the rudest personality ever. She had no consideration. There were 14 people waiting on one doctor. What sort of service is that ? Our health system is failing us. This hospital I recommend to no one. You may as well go home to google self help solutions. If you want to stay alive please do not go here! Period.

I had an emergency issue. Looked up wait times and Bowmanville was the smallest. Janet the triage nurse was compassionate and attentive. I waited less than the wait times on the site. The Dr on duty again day with me and explained situation and did what he could to alleviate my pain immediately. Thank you so much for helping me so fast.

6.5 hours and counting. The wait time is absurd. This place is so disorganized. VERY Rude staff. The pre-doctor nurse said my issue looks like a rash and that's what probably bumped me to low priority. People came and went for hours before I was seen. The doctor diagnosed me with something more severe, so the nurse had no place making her diagnosis". I am hoping the Medical Director re-evaluates the efficiency and service levels of this hospital. Very upsetting. Out of 10 staff that I've interacted with

This hospital is clean and not over crowded. However members of the nursing staffing are very unprofessional in there treatment of patients and there family's. I fully understand their jobs are incredibly difficult. However that being said taking out these emotions towards patients in unacceptable. The attitude a nurse shows to a patient can make or break a hospital experience . I would suggestMore sensitivity training for certain members of staff.
