Very friendly staff! Was fitted for glasses right away, in and out within 10 mins!

My family have been loyal customers of Cristall Opticians for about 15 years - I got my first pair of glasses here when I was 8.The past few years, however, service has gone downhill. My father asked if they could order him some daily contacts THREE YEARS AGO, and it has been mentioned by my mother every time she's been in since, but those contacts still haven't been ordered.My sister has a pair of glasses that are such poor quality, they broke within a month of getting them and then broke again within a month of getting them back... and it took weeks to get them back. Her spare pair has been at Cristall awaiting repair for 2 months, and has sat in the same spot on the desk they were in when they were brought in. No word on when they'll be fixed.The woman who works there will either gossip with you for an hour about her recent trip to Mexico, or you'll be the person she ignores completely while she talks to someone else about her trip to Mexico.The ladies at Cristall do their best to stock the cheapest glasses I've seen in Brandon, and will do their best to fit everything to your budget; if you're a recent customer there, your glasses will most likely be ready to be picked up within a week of picking them out, if not the next day, if they're paid for.Ultimately, as a new customer, as long as you pay attention to the quality of the specific frames you pick out, you'll get a great deal, and the woman who works there is the best at adjusting glasses, from my experience.However, as I said, having been a loyal customer for 15 years, they seem to have felt like my family would be lenient with them slacking on us, and we've decided to take our business elsewhere, without the contacts we tried to order 3 years ago, or the glasses my sister broke 2 months ago. As much as the prices are great, we just can't afford to wait 3 years for our glasses.I will admit my experience working there did not do anything to brighten this review, but it is as accurate a review I can give while keeping my employment there out of mind, as I would rate THAT experience a -1/5.
