Steep Rock Kayak & Canoe

Left Winnipeg which just rained, the weather sunny, roads are good & smooth. No clouds as we get closer to Steep Rock. What to expect is the unknown besides rock and Lake Manitoba. This is the first time at Lake Manitoba. The tree line is getting shorter the further North we go.Arrived in Steep Rock just after 11:00 am. We came upon a small peaceful town that had a hidden gem along Lake Manitoba. The water is so green from the Limestone and the yes the rocks are steep all along the water. Breathtaking to say the least.You can rent paddle boats, canoes, stand up paddle boards, & kayaks too at a reasonable cost for the day.Just off shore line there is an island where two goats lived for a short time. They were the talk amongst the people who saw them last year and still talked about today. Cute little guys.If you get a chance the drive is North the 2 1/2 hours north on Highway #6 from Winnipeg. From the foto’s I saw in an album the winter is just as beautiful. There are many paths to take a stroll and enjoy the beauty in front of your eyes.

Nice and peaceful place for Kayaking and Boating. Make sure you bring cash, they don't accept debit payments.Kayak rentals are pretty cheap at $15/hour.

Great COVID practices in place. This is truly a gem for families or anyone wanting to see something REALLY different in Manitoba! You will never want to leave once you see this place. The owner is very friendly, patient, helpful and speaks multiple languages. This is a very unique location, with a lovely island and the goats are fun to watch! I most highly recommend this beautiful place and rental hut. The grenadine sunsets are breathtaking. Really a place to propose to your significant other ❤️

The water was quite clean, beach is all rock so wearing water shoes is ideal. Drinks and food available at the concession stand. Well kept and maintained. Don't get confused with Steep Rock Beach Park, that one costs money, this one doesn't.

Rented some paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe for our group this weekend. Great experience. Service was good and prices were reasonable.Nice area to explore. Turquoise water, cliffs and an island with some friendly goats you can visit.

Will absolutely come back in the future! Peter from the steep rock canoe rentals is a wholesome dude who apart from giving us sweet rides to and from goat island also knew a bit of Bengali and welcomed, thanked us in my native language immediately becoming my most favorite local

Amazing place to explore. Beautiful scenery and GOATS!! We brought our own kayak but lots of people were renting and having a blast! Loved it here!!
