Stumbled onto Saddlery while walking around downtown and saw a patio area where we could sit and have a couple drinks. We had a dog so we stayed outside and just enjoyed the weather, it was midday, 28C. Service was great, friendly staff. We spilled our drink but it was promptly replaced. We had the tomato soup and long Island iced tea. Very refreshing. It was just us on the patio so it was relatively quiet and relaxing. I liked the soup and the cheese toasts. We just wanted a light lunch. Overall good experience. Would recommend.

Came here with a friend a few days ago. The food and the service were horrible. There was only one server and we thought ordering our apps and mains at the same time would save the server some time but he preferred to do them separately. He wouldnt come back for long periods of time and would spend 30 seconds with our table before abruptly leaving at random times. The charcuterie board wasnt done well as the meat was sliced so thick, the bread was the only thing that was crunchy and if we wanted to put things together we were fighting to bite through the bread. The pulled pork tacos were not good. The pulled pork was burnt to the point where they disintegrated in your mouth and the tortilla tasted like it was really old. The saddlery burger and fries were not good. The fries were cut thin so you couldnt taste them and they were burnt. The burger bun was tough and the toppings were not good. The bacon was brittle and I included a picture of what I think were the onions that were burnt. The deep fried pickles we ordered didnt taste like anything whatsoever. The building itself is old and falling apart and the place wasn't clean, the menus we had were sticky with old food and hair. Never coming back.

Both burgers were good. The Mac and cheese burger was very messing but good Mac and cheese. Very cool spot inside.

Went here on the weekend for the first time for a wedding. Phenomenal food. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious and many other guests said the same for the chicken as well, great staff/service and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Discovered this gem through Dine About Winnipeg" promotion. It looked interesting so I made the reservation.I chose items from the menu created for the promotion:cheddar broccoli Parmesan soup - wonderful flavor and just the right texture. Topped off with toasted croutons that remained crispy

Food is pricey and not exciting for me. We ordered a few appetisers and it is nothing you couldn’t get at Joeys or Earls, lol. It is the typical gastropub type of food… so take that as you will.I think people go here for atmosphere and proximity to things in the Exchange and the theatre. In my opinion there are far better restaurants in the area. The service was pretty good though! Just wasn’t impressed with the food.

Came for their Valentines pre-fix menu. $29 for an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Great price. My appetizer was the Mexican Street Corn with chipotle aioli and feta. Corn isn't in season so it isn't the most intuitive thing to have it on the menu. Needless to say I regretted ordering it. The cob was very small with small dry kernels and lacked the punchy flavour Mexican corn usually has. 1 star. For the main, I had the New York steak and shrimp. Steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. A tad on the chewy side, but for the price paid well worth it. Shrimp cooked just till tender and great char flavour. Standard mashed potato and roast veggie sides. 3 stars. My friend got the chicken bruschetta. The chicken breasts were cooked to absolute perfection. The meat was juicy and super tender. 4.5 stars. For dessert I had the vegan banana cake with toasted almonds. Extremely unpleasant dense cake, overly sweet relatively plain icing, standard toasted almonds. I honestly do not think it should even be categorized as cake. 1 star.My friend had the blueberry and lemon curd cheesecake. Rich and flavourful cheesecake with an excellent texture. Blueberry and lemon curd are nice touches to elevate the cake. 4 stars.Service was great, and the overall feel and ambience of the restaurant is nice. While I wasn't necessarily wowed by the overall experience, I wouldn't be against visiting this place again.

Great service. Enjoyed the sidewalk seating. The Cubano was top notch and the Tomato Soup... I probably could have drank a gallon of it. So delicious!
